She is one of my favourite jazz vocalists, she died in 1987, two years after this concert, she was only 75, what a loss, but she has left a wonderful legacy💛 all her beautiful recordings 🎼❤️🎼

I can't help thinking...was this music not made for dancehalls and DANDING together, was it not? Has that aspect of the music disappeared..and the pleasure entailed

Is it just me, or does she seem to more enjoy "A Hundred Years from Today" and therefore sings it better than she does "Loch"?

+TheWriterWalker Yes. I worked with Maxine and she hated having to do "Loch Lomond" because she was so identified with it and she wanted to prove she could do other things. She only included it in her shows when forced to.
