Look up Austin lake park in Toronto Ohio. Its great and a ton of fun. I go on the 4th of July and meet friends there. Lots of patriotic folks there.

I will be motorcycle camping where could I get water while in Jess Owens parks. I was there last year but never found and potable water. I camped 2 spots passed where you were camping. I am from Medina and I just subscribed.

First, hello neighbor! Second, thank you for subscribing. You bring up a good point. I don’t recall seeing any water outlets. I always bring my own. But if you wanted to you could filter and boil from the ponds.

I've been going to this area for decades but haven't been there for the last couple yrs. There use to be water at campsite A hook lake, also about 2 to 3 miles going towards Cumberland state rt 83 on windy hill. There use to even have a pay phone on windy hill. I would think even the state wouldn't be dumb enough to take a water pump out that's been there for decades. But it wouldn't surprise me. Educated idiots do exist. This area has been there since the late 50s or early 60s. The coal mines AEP use to run it. It was best during the early and mid 70s.

In the Wayne National Forest, the Forest Service recommends NOT using water, even filtered, from streams and such, because of chemical contamination from old mining activities. I haven't heard one way or the other about JOSP, but it's worth thinking about. Contacting the ODNR might not be a bad idea.
