When doing a surprise attack, the enemy will Stay grounded for longer if you have bombs.usually 30 seconds. This allows you to drop them all and quickly flee. Think of it as like a plane but more boom. This is useful when strike groups are landed and you don't want to sacrifice missiles or planes to sprint aa missiles. They are hard to aim but the reward sure is worth it. Unlike planes the alarm also dosent get raised if you destroy every single one and you can loot it for more money.

Feels nice seeing one of my more unhinged shennanigans reach beyond my own use, now I wonder how doing a roll while flinging bombs off the sefa would look lmao One note with Fab1000 is that like other bombs and zenith, the faster their closing rate on impact, the further they pierce armour / hull before detonating. They're actually pretty effective against armoured targets if you hit them at a very high speed Nice video, though, keep things up.

Not recomendable I'd say... rather 'upgrade' your Lightning to a Thunder by giving them not only 2 Zeniths, but also 2 Fabs, since you will be sudden striking the enemy anyways, you can easily pop off both bombs to stack the odds in your favour, shoot a Zenith or both if need be and then overwhelm the enemy with superior manuverability. The main issue I see with your ship is that it's too slow and you dont BLANKET the enemy with your FABs... just like with the Missles they DO become a liability in any prolonged combat, so use them or lose them. Keep in mind you have litterally several TONS of high explosives strappeed to the buttom of your ship (which tends to be the most vulnerable part of most ships due to design requirements).

I think the damage caused by the 250kg airborne aerial bomb is higher than that of the FAB-1000

Isn't 1000kg the weight of the explosive filler inside? The bomb module weights 37.4T in the tooltip...stilll... boom is BOOM

Total weight is always described, for example FAB 250 has 100kg explosive filler. If it was equivalent to the game, it would have 6.7kg, u might as well be dropping heavy rocks. Every measurement is complete joke in this game.

Tried bombers, but didn't found them worth it. Instead created medium ship I called "nightmare". Simple design. Two very heavy guns and ability to fly at 900km/h. Fuel for about 47 sec of combat. Only task is to descend very fast and obliterate stationary target in one go - then retreat and summon cleanup team.

Perfect design, but how to ensure sufficient quantity of bombs is a problem. There are fewer bombs sold in cities than in enemy ship wreckage

Well, I never had a success with them tbh. These bombs are too finicky to aim and as the result to hit anything with them.
