I'm like, at last someone with an Aussie accent going through ODM, wait a minute, is that porties? Yes it is. One sec, is that my park? Yes it is, hey, my kids and dog play there! Wait there's my house!

Ha ha. Any where in the world and the video is in you back yard. Do you use ODM?
@davidashton87023 жыл бұрын
@@colineast65 I've only just bought a drone and learning its functionality. I fence a lot of rural blocks so I thought I should get on top of mapping. Don't want to pay subscription if not making $$ so prepared to put some time into ODM. Have produced one map, but only have 8 ram.

@@davidashton8702 drones and mapping are two separate things. I am a big believer in appropriate accuracy. ODM won't give you "survey" accurate images but it is suprisingly good enough for many use cases. Re mapping - If you do rural fencing, how do you think you can introduce 'mapping" to help your rural customers or are you hoping mapping will help you with your work?

Thank you for this video, but I found that Mavic 2 Zoom is not supported by Pix4Dcapture, how did you manage with it?
@colineast654 жыл бұрын
Hi. I used the Marvic pro settings (the model before the Mavic 2). With no zoom applied the cameras are about the same spec. I'm now experimenting with the DJI GS Pro that is equivalent to pix4d and is also free but it only runs on an ipad. Cheers

Excellent Video, how long did it take to learn the software. Also, what type of phone holder is that attached to the Drone control
@colineast654 жыл бұрын
It took me a few days but that was on and off over a month and I do have a bit of a technical background too. It took a bit longer to learn because I had not used Docker before and as a command line tool it doesn't give you too many clues about errors, etc. I got the holder from Amazon but it came from the US. It's name was a powerextra. I als got a Hanatora charger at the same time and that allows me to charge 4 batteries at once however, I killed two batteries by not discharging them to 50% each time and the Hanatora charger has a feature for doing that.

@@Abbici I believe so. It has been a while since I did that and I don’t know where the project is at.

how do you give outputs to the client especially the 3d?
@colineast654 жыл бұрын
ODM produces the various file types and you would provide the client with the files. This does assume they have the software available but as it is all open source it shouldn't be too hard to install.

what mount do you use for the phones? cheers

I got mine from Amazon. www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/ya/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_bia_view?ie=UTF8&ac=bia&reorder_params=B07Q45865K%2C250-6757825-7520648

Without GCPs the two different flights will never match up. ODM is good in all but would not use to sell “mapping” services.
