Funny thing I got the same feeling today as I listened to Interpol maybe for 5 hours and made up mind that I would love actually to have Interpol played at funeral. I once knew a girl like this. I fell hard for her even though everything inside me said it was a bad idea. I pursued her and was strung along. I knew she didnt feel for me what I did for her. She told me my problem was that "I wore my heart on my sleeve." What she didn't understand or didn't appreciate was that while that mightve been true, it only applied to her. But oh well, I made a hard decision and pushed her out of my life. Fast forward 10 years later and she says pushing me away was one of the biggest mistakes she ever made. But oh well, by that time, I had moved on and no longer had feelings for her. I cant deny that it didnt feel good that she got to experience a little bit of what I went through.
