My dad got his license in 1972. I got my license in 2002 and took a flight review a few years later with the instructor that taught my dad. The instructor taught me how to do a wingover. They're similar to a hammerhead but you don't let your speed go down so far. Sooo much fun.

I think most places outside of the States call it a Stall Turn here in NZ we do even though the wing is not stalled due to 0 angle of attack as Patty explained.I call the Tail slide a Hammer Head stall (wrongfully probably) because of the nose dropping like a hammer while locking all the control surfaces and engine at idle. Patty is one of the greatest !
