Aeroflot's unique retro flight in honor of the centenary of the first passenger flight. A significant date for an aviation and travel lover. The first flight was made from Moscow, from Khodynka field on a Junkers F13 aircraft (the name of the aircraft was Prombank) by the Dobrolet airline (the predecessor of the current Aeroflot). Now we can’t even imagine how those first flights went. I asked my friend, Aleksey Yatvetsky, to look at one of the last surviving F13 Junkers in his homeland in the Munich Museum. Alexey told a wonderful story and showed how the plane and the flight were seen in those days. There were no autopilots at that time, so the pilots flew the aircraft exclusively with maximum concentration. Now, civil aviation has changed, we have the opportunity to fly on the super modern Airbus A350 and in the near future on the new domestic MC21 with a completely different level of comfort.
The video begins with the Khodynka field, where the park is already located and practically nothing reminds of the past aviation past. Then I drive along the Leningradskoe highway to Sheremetyevo airport. I park in the area of the IL-62 aircraft, which stands on a pedestal to the left of the entrance to the Sheremetyevo terminal.
For a special flight SU1220 to Nizhny Novgorod, special check-in counters were allocated near the Sky Priority zone. Aeroflot flight attendants in the late 70s uniform, which was made for the 1980 Olympics, stood on the counters. Aeroflot offered unusual baggage tags to all passengers of this flight.
The flight to Nizhny Novgorod was carried out on an Airbus A321 aircraft. On board, all passengers were waiting for a small gift in the form of a certificate, a postcard and a commemorative Aeroflot badge. In the cabin, everyone was met by flight attendants dressed in an unusual retro uniform.
In-flight ice cream was offered to all economy class passengers. Vologda ice cream.
After landing, the aircraft was greeted with a water arch or water salute. It was my first arch in my life, and judging by the conversations around, all the passengers were very happy about this event.
On the airstairs, Aeroflot made a small photo zone with other flight attendants dressed in different uniforms of different years.
There was a festive atmosphere at Strigino airport. Motocross Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod arrived, dedicated to the centenary of the first passenger flight.
An air show was held in the city: Aerobatic team Rus, Svetlana Kapanina on an Extra plane.
