I can't say anything bad about Aeroflot airlines. I won a free first class trip by being a frequent flyer member. I have flown other russian airlines, and by far aeroflot is the most consistent, clean and professional. They took care of me when i had a ticketing issue with Orbitz. Even in coach, I found the flight staff very nice and the food good. I compare Aeroflot with the many airlines from the USA. In the US, it is all about squeezing as many people into the airplane as possible. American Airlines is notorious for canceling flights for no apparent reason. (I speculate it is because the plane is not full) They have a real problem with an aging workforce, aging aircraft, and aging business model. They are aligned with IBERIA which was nearly the worst airline I have ever traveled. The recent merger of American Airlines with US airways is a sad day for loyal US airways customers. Given the choice of US carriers, I would choose Delta. The sky team alliance which includes both Delta, Air France and Aeroflot has a much higher class of airlines and newer airplanes. I love the Russian people and culture. I hope that peace agreements are reached between Russia, Ukraine, Europe and USA. and countries can put their differences aside. The poor are always the ones who suffer first in these situations, and we should have compassion in the midst of this conflict. Economically, sanctions destroy businesses on Both sides. People need to feel safe and have work. The Bible says "if your enemy hungers feed him." Friends love and care for one another. Russia is NOT the enemy of the US. Why would we not feed their people by increasing trade. We should All Pray for our leaders.

Judging by comments below, I wish we could all respect and love each other a little more. This is about Aeroflot, the Russian Airline - and not about Russia itself. An airline is a perfect ambassador for travelers and thus for an airline home to Russia, this beautiful commercial would sensibly make any Russian very proud. @@pavelbrunda1589 I don't know if it was a joke or not, all I know is that in the Soviet Union the majority of their pilots were directly from the military and if you can land a Su-15, Su-27 or a MiG-29 in an isolated runway some where in the Siberia during a blizard...then you can manage to fly anything or everything else.

Aeroflot definitely gives the best free check in luggage allowance, 46 kg per passenger. One of the best things you get while flying with this Russian Airline.

The thing about Aeroflot is that there is a huge difference between their regional and long-distance services. I have always loved flying with Aeroflot on long-distance routes. The pilots are very professional, the cabin crew is friendly, the planes are clean. However, the first time I flew on one of their regional flights, it felt like flying with a different company. The pilots made some very uncomfortable landings, the cabin crew were rude and looked like they wanted to jump off the plane, and everything was dirty and felt unsafe. I wish I knew why its like that.

Marc Liljeqvist Are you sure it was Aeroflot? Maybe it was affiliated company? Because I fly both regional and long-distance flights. Even domestic flights in Russia. And service looks absolutely the same to me.

+Marc Liljeqvist yes, you might travel by affiliated company. Aeroflot has a lot of "daughters" and tickets to their flights are selling by Aeroflot name and flight nombers started by "SU" too. If the flight number is SU3000 - SU4999, be sure that this flight will be operate another company. And Aeroflot fly ONLY form Shermetyevo Airport. Domestic and international flights are the same, but don't forget about duration.

Aeroflot is really good company we flew by it from Lhr to Bkk and the business class was very good and the food was really good too there was a very good movies to see and i must tell aeroflot is really good airlines and i recommend it :)
