What surprised me that the A320 has SiDs and STARS and a certain amount of depth. While it may not be Fenix or Toliss, it still surprises me.

I really like how you pick the sids and stars too, you can actually see the approach and departures and work into your flight plan. But data was way out of wack for navigation data and even the ILS is off at some airports. It's good but has issues.

Could you try out the 737-500? Do you recommend this simulator? How would you rate the fidelity of the aircraft in terms of fmc function and buttons. How's the performance too?

Hi Harrison! I will be doing the 737-500 next - probably a night flight too :) As for the sim it's a sim-lite experience, but this version has a surprising amount of depth. The performance on my rig is GREAT, flying at Ultra but only 1080P for YT video (1440p is WAY slow for YT to process). My rig is i7-10700K, RTX 3070 and 16GB of system ram. You can buy it on steam and try it for two hours - if you don't like you can get your money back as long as you haven't gone over 2 hours so maybe try that and see if it's for you.

It'll run 60 FPS on a potato, and a nice variety of aircraft included in the base product

@@progrmr funny, yeah I recently blew a grand for the top processor for my rig. Got 36 threads humming. But yeah didn't know if that was satellite imagery or default. I'm pretty happy with msfs, although the lighting is a bit of a pickle that hazy scum, but it is adjustable with filters. Anyway this looks pretty nice take care.

Other benefits. No need to stream high amounts of data, no internet connection needed, small install footprint. It's a nice "light", fun sim, but will not replace MSFS as a main sim for many people.

I've gone fully Aerofly FS4, no more MSFS... specifically for the incredibly fast load times this sim gives you and the smooth frame rates. No more waiting for many minutes only to be just about to be sitting in the cockpit, only to then have MSFS crash on you after installing a new add-on. I got so sick of all the waiting I was doing with that sim. AFS4 just works so well right out of the gate. No more endless tweaking to find the best frame rates. I'm very happy with this... and I've been an MSFS supporter since the very beginning. So plenty of experience with them over the years. I want to like MSFS 2020 I really do, but it's like they are trying to simulate the earth and not flying itself. I waited a very long time to jump into AFS4 thinking it'd be very similar to AFS2, but it's SO much better now. The night lighting is really beautiful. The aircraft physics work really well on all of these planes, there's enough variety to keep me happy, and it's so easy to get into the cockpit very quickly and be flying in like 1 minute when you just want a quick flight.
