Thank you for posting an honest video showing the "struggle is real" replacing these cords!!

Easiest way - have someone else hold the cord. to do it alone, you can pull the cord tighter than u want and "clamp" it with a wrench on the "tie side" & then loop the cord, remove the wrench

That is a very smart idea! Thanks for sharing. I have 2 cords to change out and will try that for this channel. Thanks for the recommendation. I am not an innovative thinker like that, so I appreciate when others can see a problem and work it out. Thanks again! 😊

I did it myself ... I placed a few books on one side of the Pilates machine I worked on my Back because no one was here to help me get it off the holder. Sooo Next time get a clamp or Vicegrips pull the cable around 8 inches place the visgrip on the cord lock the Viscrips to hold the cord while you make a knot then rehoop the knot make one knot and put it back to re~loop!!!Release the Visgrips and you’re done! Visgrips are pliers that lock....

Great Job!! I am so proud of you! See, we can manage these machines on our own. I love that you used the vise-grips. That is really wonderful advice! Viewer TexasTrainer mentioned that as well. You gals are so clever! Thank you for sharing with other viewers. Enjoy your new cords!!

Where can I purchase the red cords that you have?

I have a used JP Performer .. and the cords are reverse of yours .. such that I can change the number of cords more easily and it makes more sense to me ... am I missing something here ?

Does the cord have to be in its slot on the other end? Couldn’t you unhook it to give yourself a bit more length whilst you knot it, then hook it back in?
@everythingaeropilates3 жыл бұрын
This is a great question. The cord actually does have to be hooked through the other end. If it didn't, that would be a perfect idea though. The other end is a hole and it cannot be threaded through afterward. BUT, a couple of viewers have mentioned that they used "vice grip pliers" to hold the cord while it was being tied. I tried that and it worked, but it did fray the cord. My favorite method is calling my kiddos into the room to hold the cord while I tie it, but I know not everyone has an extra hand around. If you are alone, the vice grip pliers are a wonderful method. :)

Hi again. I had another question that i hope you don’t mind answering. If jumping on my reformer using my jumpboard is a little stiff and slow do you suggest using some grease or wd40 in the wheel or track to make it smoother. Do you think it’s the cords? I have 4 black cords. I just ordered a red and yellow cord so jumping can be performed different ways. Thanks 😊

Hello! So good to hear from you again! I know exactly what you mean. Oiling the rails should help quite a bit. You can use vegetable oil from your cabinet or WD-40. Try to wipe the entire rails with it and you should glide better. The different cords will give your workout variety and I think you'll really like them.

Where could we purchase the red cord? On Stamina’s website, they are out of stock. Did they discontinue making them?
@tst.v2926 Жыл бұрын
Amazon had them.

This is an embarrassment. I solved this by tying a double coil and over a period of two days stretching the cord by repeatedly attempting to pull and tie with a third coil. How about Stamina selling replacement cord that are the appropriate length?

Where can I buy black cords?
@everythingaeropilates3 жыл бұрын
The black cords are sold out right now. They are on Ebay sometimes and you may be able to call the stamina products customer service line and see if they have any left for sale. They sometimes keep black cords as replacement parts. If you do that, you will need your model # and serial #, both are on your machine. Otherwise, if they are out of stock there too, you can keep checking back on ebay. I have seen them there often. Just make sure you are buying some that are unused, new, or very good. Hope you find them! :)

Do you know what causes the clunking noise on my 5 cord machine? I don’t have a clue what to do to stop it! Thanks!
@everythingaeropilates2 жыл бұрын
Hello!I may have an idea or two. Do you hear the clunking while you rebound only or is it during every exercise? If it is rebounding only, you can check and make sure that your rebounder is facing outward (small holes are facing away from the machine). This helps reduce the noise in a big way. If it is still too loud, you can screw the rebounder in and it gets really quiet. But, if you hear the noise when you are doing other exercises, it may be the seam of your machine making the noise. Because your machine folds, the rails have to meet each other once the AeroPilates is open. This can cause minor bumping and oiling the rails can be very helpful. However, if the clunking is very noticeable after oiling the rails, your machine may be off-balanced. For instance, my floors slope a bit, so I have to make sure to open my machine on a level area of the house to avoid the clunking noise and feel. To see if an uneven floor is a problem, you can get out a level tool (they have them at dollar tree or Walmart for about $1 if you don't have one) and lay it on your machine to see if it is even. If it is not, you can put felt sliders underneath the feet or folded paper...whatever you have on hand until you get your AeroPilates balanced. Let me know if these thoughts work and, if not, I can ask a few questions to help figure out what is going on. :)
