This is the best rock singer. I think this is the best male singer. I know it's a sibjective thing. But the guy can hit the g#5 at almost 80 years old. He's got a tremendous vocal range and a lot of agility. He changes notes really fast. He does quiet parts then belts his ass off. My entire singing learning is to try to sing as good as him. It's my major inspiration.

So i have to tell the people that are commenting that age has slowed him. No. He hits all the notes, he does them at mostly the original lenght and he is stil capable to sing the highest note. I think ppl just don't know abput musoc. Listen to axl rose, or bon jovi, robert plant. Those guys cant sing for shit nowadays. And he does still (btw i love all those singers). 100% agree with you. As I've gotten older I've grown to really respect them and especially Steven Tyler as a vocalist. He's a very rare case of someone whose voice developed and just got better and better as he got older. Once he reached his peak he just decided that he's never coming down. To maintain that level of power, control and range at that age is as rare as it gets. I'm convinced he sold his soul to lucifer at some point. lol. How else to explain it? As you stated, guys like Axel Rose, Vince Neil and others are completely murdering their songs today (and not in a good way) and makes me beg them to just retire. And these guys are 10-15 years younger than Tyler. Another vocalist I feel could have been up there with Tyler had he not died so young was Freddie Mercury. I like to think that he would have still amazed us for a couple of decades more had he lived.

But, this song performance is perfect, in other songs he sings phrases a little shorter, but he still songs all the real notes something that is really difficult to pull after 50 when you sing.
