HUGE Aerosmith fan. I abhor having to listen to Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion SOLEY due to overplay. The FCC should fine radio stations for playing the same songs over and over, ie., Stairway To Heaven. My favorite album is probably Draw The LIne. The talent with this band is beyond words.

This is the only time they've ever played this song live in concert. I always assumed they thought they couldn't recreate the sound without the orchestra but I think this is a great version.

I remember fondly 2003 at Hershey stadium right before they want onstage after kiss I was in the dressing room with Steven Tyler and my son when he was only six and Steven was holding my son and we came out of the dressing room and my son said to me daddy who was that lady holding me and I giggled and I said son someday you will understand and now he's 25 and now he knows ;🤔

Extremely underrated song - my favorite of their power ballads, by far. Very challenging vocally, I guess that is probably why they didn't do it live.

Such a tragic shame this song was only ever played in full this one time. But thank God someone was recording, and with pretty decent sound quality. It definitely deserves to be documented!

A timeless classic from The Greastest American Hard Rock Band. Steven is the best 'front man'. Ever. He was born to do nothing else. The Greateast, most 'coolest' Rock Star to ever take the stage😊
@DutchessCottonPuff10 жыл бұрын
Oh how I WISH they would do this song at every concert , this is beautiful. Loved it since the beginning and who ever said he was ugly or old or too old to be on stage ? Ridiculous , I still see and hear him( and all of them ) the way he was in 1973 . That's just unconditional love - something this world needs more of .
@amandaniguez11 жыл бұрын
@BettyK1958 right, you can and will say what you want. If you think he is ugly and old that's ok. They've been playing since 1970, a really long time, right. But what does beauty and age have to do with being on stage? This is art, this is music, and they are huge. One of the few good rock bands we have left. Maybe you don't understand what music is about. Good luck figuring it out.

@spercoco10 жыл бұрын
Just listen to him try and sing it to answer your question. I'm not putting him down; no one is expected to sing like they did in their 20s when they are nearly 70. You have to know your limitations and sometimes the word limitation isn't in Tyler's vocabulary.
@katjohnson68139 жыл бұрын
Steve Percoco Exactly.....Well said...His singing in the original version of this is beyond what he is now capable of and it's not an insult. We all get old eventually. I also agree that sometimes limits are not in his vocabulary.
@spercoco9 жыл бұрын
Mike Egle Your 26 and a lead singer in a band lmao! I've been playing music as a professional musician for over 30 years unlike your week-end warrior gig in what must be the worst garage band on the planet. To actually admit singing the song worse than this is pretty pathetic; your whole band must suck pretty bad. What's the name of your band so I know not to see them if I'm looking for some good live music or maybe if I am in the mood for a good laugh.
@spercoco9 жыл бұрын
Mike Egle Dude I grew up with Steven Tyler. He lives in my neck of the woods and even endorsed an Aerosmith tribute band I played with for two years. Yes I am in the Boston area and that's great....you opened up for Sevendust....I never heard of them but doesn't mean they aren't good; I'm just from a different error. And you are right; I can't hit any notes; I'm a fucking drummer stupid. A non-singing drummer like Joey Kramer but there was a write up in Boston maganzine about me when I played in that Aero tribute and the writer actually said I was too good lol! I've played jazz, fusion, world beat...everything. The point is I olve Tylers vocals but in this video he is horrible. He just can't sing tunes like this anymore. I saw him back when he was in his twenties. Big fucking difference. Do you think Paul McCartney can still sing? If you do, you need a new set of ears.

For people saying it's out of his range, that "I've got to be your lover" part isn't even that high, it's just that putting that rasp into your voice that way is hard to do without making yourself cough or stumble. Your vocal chords start to tickle. I'm guessing that's why they never played this song before.
