Thank you for the lectures! Is there a link to the rest of the video about the thin wall approximation in bending? Thanks!

Omg! The most important part is missing 😢(thin wall approximation). Where we can find that ?

I really like the lectures, is it possible anyone can number them on where to start and how to proceed?

Thank you, wonderful videos. It would be great to have one on damage tolerance of metallic structures.

Do u thin that first shear force diagram for cantilever is right ??? Pls explain
@AerospaceStructures5 жыл бұрын
Are you talking about the SF diagram at around 8:00? This is correct if the wing had a point load (i.e. engine) right out at the wing tip.

sir regarding the SFD it 8.05 i think it is the opposite to that you have drawn like if it is flipped (correct me if am wrong)

You are probably right. I have to admit that I'm generally not careful with sign convention for these examples. In the end, the "sign" of a shear force doesn't matter too much unless we are doing superposition. The one I should be more careful about is bending moment as this one can completely change the stresses in the calculation.

Is there a part about "Warping"? I want to know, about exercise 10.18 of Megson 4th-Edition, why "Pr" about point 2 is 50! For 1 is ok, s=50 and pr=25.. If i'm considering the external point; the same reasoning for 3 s=38 and pr=75. But if i do the same procedure for 2, i don't undestand why pr is 50 and not 75; s=50, is ok!
