Yea, these pilots are cowboys. Not only are the company policies as far a takeoff weight all wrong, but the pilots still choose to take off when they are the last line of defense. Also the pilots are showoffs.....raising landing gear 20ft off the ground, banking severely just seconds after leaving the ground, making low passes etc.....they are asking for trouble.
@JustMe002572 жыл бұрын
So true. They use their operational environment as an excuse to show off but I strongly believe that there's a company culture that promotes busting limits and showing off. I can't explain this behaviour otherwise. The low passes, high bank angles after lift off, overweight take offs and low approaches have no justification from an operational point of view.
@cccc99112 жыл бұрын
@@JustMe00257 They have no operational justification..or any other justification whatsoever. There are a lot of videos of these guys demonstrating wreckless operation. When that 'obviously overweight' 727 crashed and killed the crew, it makes you wonder if the attorneys for the dead families, or the INSURANCE company had the wherewithall to look for videos like these to help their case.

I believe their is a lot of pressure on the pilots. I believe they are being coerced into operating this way and probably threatened to be fired if they don’t , and made sure no one else will hire them then.

You are both arrogant and ignorant these guys probably know how to hand fly an aircraft better than most pilots in First World countries. Air France 447 case in point state-of-the-art aircraft substandard Pilots rode a perfectly good aircraft right into the drink and killed all their passengers
@windshearahead70123 жыл бұрын
@@ReneChewbaka lol, don’t start. All pilots in Air France 447 knew how to fly. It was panic that got them all killed. Thing happened in like 3-4 minutes. Not enough time to wash your hands, let alone understand why an a330 is suddenly falling 18,000 feet per minute into the ocean with most of its systems failing at night into a hail storm

@@windshearahead7012 Understand? What did they need to understand? You hear the stall alert, you push the stick forward. Standard procedure.
@windshearahead70122 жыл бұрын
@@carcasapistacho 3 pilots failed to realize it. 1 was the captain. Then again in 2014, another 2 pilots crashed for the same reason (air Asia a320 and the co-pilot was also pulling up on the side stick). So if in total 5 seasoned pilots fail to realize their plane is stalling while the stall alarm goes off, it means something. I suggest you, don't judge, from behind a computer screen.

There is an actual report online if you google it. The aircraft was a tonne overweight, the crew incorrectly calculated the rotation speed to 5 knots higher than they needed and the pilot rotated the aircraft too slowly; the plane did not take off on the runway because of this. The plane went past the end of the runway and impacted various structures before finally lifting off but by that time, the main hydraulic systems were damaged and inoperable and the crew did not activate the standby system so they lost control of the aircraft. The airport they took off from was not even approved for use by a 727-200. Lots of failures by the crew and the company, along with a lack of oversight by the Colombian CAA.
