Nice video...love the launch tower shots that followed the rocket as it went up the rail. Would be good to have more of these kinds of videos, especially on new products.

Maybe someday I will build a M or N motor... Largest I have built was the K270-W! Great video and love the slow-mo video of the rocket at the end. Absolutely fantastic! On a related note I feel compelled to comment on the use of the Elmers Max adhesive. Being an experienced urethanes chemist I cringe when I see folks freely touching and and handling this type of adhesive without gloves. This material and Gorilla glue are isocyanate functional (contains Diphenylmethane Dissocyanate or "MDI") materials known as prepolymers or quasi-prepolymers that cure via moisture reacting with the isocyanate functional groups. As such they are sensitizing agents (The product label should state this too!). It is very very highly recommended that one wear some cheap disposable latex or nitrile gloves when working with this material. One may not be sensitized to isocyanate and have an allergic reaction with the first use or even the hundredth use. But on the 101st use you may find yourself experiencing a very unpleasant reaction that if severe enough could not end well! By no means and I trying to be critical. I only mean to educate and promote safety when working with chemicals. On a related note... at least the MDI used in these adhesives is one of the less hazardous isocyanates.

K270W is a great motor, glad you got to fly one. And thanks for the safety tips on the Elmer's, we will use gloves in the future.

2:50 Where can I buy some of that amazing invisible glue you used on the grains?

The last time I flew an m2400 was years ago. I just purchased another reload. I don't remember gluing anything back then. Hmmmm.

No grease on the liner?
@AeroTechConsumerAerospace17 жыл бұрын
Some prefer to grease the liner which definitely helps the cleanup. If you remove the liner soon after the motor is fired it will usually come out pretty easy.

Hello sir was that a simulation at 7:00? If yes, could you please provide the name of the software?

looks like the forward seal disk and oring were lubed and did not say so
@AeroTechConsumerAerospace19 жыл бұрын
John Bolene The seal disk wasn't lubed but we did use a "well used" seal disc so maybe it appeared that way. AT the 1:20 mark you can see the seal disk o-ring being greased.
