My Very First Souls Game

As people keep mentioning, technically this 'isn't' my first souls... except that it really is. Code Vein - I disliked code vein so much, nothing felt satisfying, all the areas were bland, the story annoyed me, I never finished it. It also feels nothing close to any of the souls games for me. Dark Souls 3 - SOME PEOPLE DON'T READ THE DESCRIPTION... I started Dark Souls 3 like 3 years ago and only got past the dragon on the bridge, then I stopped and never touched it agian. How can I seriously count that if I barely even remember anything. So yes, this is the first true Souls like for me, thank you!

Eh, don't worry about it Shen Playing a game and experiencing a game are vastly different things that people confuse all the time, because ya' you played other games of this genre before but didn't experience them - the point of a 'first' in video games is based on their experience of it, not whether one has played it briefly and then never touched it again or just ended up being similar enough to end up in the same category of games rather than 'being' of the category On a sidenote though, I know nothing about Code Vein and had no idea that you played it ^^' But yah', thanks for the thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining video - comments be or not be damned ^^

I think I had a similar experience with Dark Souls 3, except that I more realised that I wasn't good at PVP. And that after 7 hours of continuous gameplay I needed to stop, cool off and come back the next day, instead of try to ram the annoying Hollow/rat swarm/demon cleric/rat swarm/archer/rat swarm/giant/rat swarm/Irillyth guard/rat swarm/dungeon boss/rat swarm that was getting in my way. I'll give you one guess as to which of those ended up triggering my gamer rage the most frequently.

As someone whos beaten them all the reason most people have a hard time with any souls game is most players start with a fairly passive call and respond kind of play style youll have better luck if you either go full Rambo or instead of running block until you get comfortable with their attack pattern

I remember playing the original Demon's Souls, and it felt less 'challenging' than 'the game just does _not_ want me to be here' - starts by taking away some of your maximum health and every time you sit down at a bonfire to heal up, all the enemies respawn as well, erasing your progress to the next bonfire.
