aespa has the BEST storyline I've ever seen! I love how it delves into KWANGYA, the online world, and how we only show the beautiful side of us, which can create a complex where the perfect version of ourselves makes our REAL self insecure. Black Mamba who represents the negativity and unhealthy obsession of chronically online people, only aggravate that insecurity making us not even want to share happy moments out of fear that they will be exploited. I wish people understood how deep this concept is. The amount of potential storylines and content they can create with this type of concept is endless. The script was perfectly written, and the quality of the CGI/comic was amazing! I love the fact that you can tell SM actually put effort and time into making a high quality video. The girls were in their bag with their acting! They really embodied their roles with an OSCAR worthy performance! I would love to see them produce a short movie compiling all the parts of the story together. I hope SM releases a Box set that has a comic version of this, as well as a DVD. They need to have a video game as well as toys etc. I know some people aren't fans of KWANGYA but I LOVE it, and I think that their true fans do too. I like that they occasionally get the chance to do videos outside of this concept like Life's Too Short, but I really hope they stick with this concept for their albums and title tracks. SM and aespa are really on the Next Level!

I feel like most people are focusing so much on how cool everything looks and the while ai concept but when you really pay attention to these episodes especially this one it really shows what being a kpop idol is really like. The scene in this where Winter hears rumors about her. The scene where Giselle is being bombarded with flashing lights and cameras. NingNing seeing hate messages. Karina wanting to be perfect so feels like she can only show her triats that make her seem perfect. It really has many meanings. Other than it being their story line and concept they also showed the harsh reality of being a kpop idol.

im very impressed. aespa always brings something different that gets my attention in every comeback. sm dont have to do this movie series at all. they didnt have to create the kwangya world, snakes or spiders but they spent money on it and gave so much effort just to do something different despite the fact the budget for even 1 ep is a lot. it'd be way easier for them to drop an basic mv and concept like some other groups. so i respect how they work hard to give us high quality contents consistently

I love how aespa's lore talks about timely issues on soc med and how it affects the mental state of every individual who is using it. And the way they chunks it into different aspects whereas Winter's scene is about the netizen who badmouths and spreading malicious stuff with no grounds. Ningning's about how simple comments and negative reactions could stab and hurt someone. Giselle shows the bad side of being in the spotlight because they are invading her privacy and putting pressure on her to be someone she doesn't want to be. And lastly Karina, we can see her dilemmas within herself. She's battling her insecurities and flaws because she's afraid that people will not accept her true self. I really love that this is so pleasing to watch for it's cinematography, animations, and visuals. But it also tells a story and teach us all a lesson. Their concept and lore have lots of potential and quality to be BIG more in the future. Till then, aesfighting!

I really hope that the netizens in general are able to appreciate the great artistic work that is in these 17 minutes of video that are short with the great quality that is in them. The use of 3D and 2D graphics added to CGI and the innate talent of the æspa girls make this a masterful audiovisual work of art. SM is making this group an innovative revolution in the industry and the amount of emotions that are transmitted to the viewer are proof of this. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a movie-quality clip like this one, which undoubtedly takes what was seen in the first part to another level. The black mamba is like a metaphor of your insecurities/self-hatred using your æ (alter ego or digital presence) and comparing it to how different the two are and using it to point how imperfect you are. Nævis is trying to connect æ with the person’s real self. In my perspective i think its a metaphor for showing your true self upon the internet and being comfortable with who you are. Now that you mention it (as I find this 7+ months later), it's interesting how these concepts likely parallel at least a few models in psychology, which in turn approximates overall themes of the human condition. The ae's in this case represent each individual's online _persona_, which functions like a mask to how we'd want the world to perceive us. So far, the black mamba seems to represent the individual's _shadow_, which house our unconscious qualities that we don't like to admit to ourselves (a snake also tends to be a symbol that coincides with each of our tendencies to fall into temptation, sin, and that uncomfortable thought that we may not be the heroes of our own story). Given that there's only been two episodes so far, I of course don't know which way they'd really take things, but if they're trying to have the themes truly go hand in hand with something like Jungian psychology, it's likely that there'd be a phase where each character would have to accept the insecurities within themselves and learn to own it instead of relentlessly fighting against it (aka the encouraging words you said about how we're amazing just the way we are, we have to accept that we're not the perfect projection of our online persona and that being subservient to its whims can actually make our insecurities and shadow even worse). So paradoxically, there'd hypothetically be a point when we'd figure out that part of dealing with the big black scary snake would be to admit that there's a bit of the big black scary snake within each of us. Part of personal growth is not to deny our imperfections, but to accept that they're there while we'd try our best to be the best versions of ourselves. Meanwhile, the alternative tragic path is if we'd never perceive our flaws, which actually makes the big black scary snake take over us until we hopefully hit some rock bottom. If I'm not mistaken, what I just mentioned kind of parallels "the hero's journey," and if nothing else, these themes are played out repeatedly in lots of media whether it be books (i.e. Heart of Darkness), movies (i.e. Black Swan), and games (i.e. Persona 4).

At first people thought their concept was weird and didn't like how the girls played along in interviews and stuff, and disliked all the terms in the songs. I agree. I think it was the way it was explained at first, making it seem vague, probably because they didn't want to spoil anything. But even then, I knew SM knew what they were doing. The plagiarism was a setback for me, and a lot of aspects led me to not believe so. This might have been the reason mainly because the only SM critique I have experienced was aespa's critique, along with the critique that Red Velvet's Zimzalabim received, along with the critique NCT's Limitless received. Over the 2 years I started listening to more older SM group music, like Girls Generation and f(x), I learned to trust SM's process more. In conclusion, the AI concept doesn't seem so bad anymore as it was first introduced because SM created an entire plot on it and it's aespa's entire concept. So, I don't hate it anymore !
