I'm surprised how many ppl don't like this track, I mean when next level and savage first came up, they called it "overproduced", "doesn't make sense" and "messy". Girls imo is one of aespa's most cohesive title track, i get that some feels that girls is missing something, like they are searching for the beat drops and abrupt changes in this track but i think every aespa title track follows their storyline. And here's my take lololol Next Level- has a beat drop since the storyline depicts that they are travelling to kwangya Savage- has abrupt changes and includes hyperpop elements that sounds eerie and glitchy since they are under a "hallucination quest" and must break free. Girls- has an anthem and combat vibes totally fitting since they are finally facing off with black mamba (doesn't involve any switch ups since they're already in kwangya?) sorry if if it doesn't make sense HAHAHA but keep streaming My's!! Girls is a bop!💗

the b-sides of these album are my favorites of all but we have to admit the title track really speak about their name and their concept. them embodying being and always be experimental is one of the reasons why they are a unique group and thats what ignite me and is keeping me alive in kpop bcz right now, they only release girlcrush, teencrush, ballads, or pop. aespa is very very different from this group that i was very very intrigued. btw. I like ICU and Illusion the most and I think this title track beside next level is my most obsessed title track by them right now. aespa is slaying in vocals, rap and dance.

The best way to explain it would be if your watching an action movie this is the song that plays during the most intense fight sequence. Black Mamba is the intro track when the movie starts. Savage is after the last Battle. and Next Level is before the battle.

Theory: Ningning had to hack the elevator because it's hiding the floor where Black Mamba hides her heart/essence. They're being taken to the wrong floors. Opinion: I understand why people think it's "safer" or "tamer" than their previous title tracks. It's probably as safe as Black Mamba while Next Level and Savage are different tiers altogether. I do also see why Coco thinks it's less hard hitting. It's more of a victory lap and storytelling wise you know the girls are gonna win eventually. End this is the culmination of those events. What I do find unique about it, is it's length and song structure. A lot of western pop and Kpop songs aren't as long as it and their song structure omits either the bridge or a dancebreak, Girls has both.

The preference between Girls and Illusion also happen with Savage and I'll Make You Cry. Both besides are title track worthy, but still, they have storyline to follow, and the songs didn't suit as main track. That's why they put Savage and Girls as the title.

La chanson est juste sublime comme le Mv qui est fort très esthétique que se soit avec les tenues, les plans de différentes scènes. Les filles sont juste magnifiques, elle gagnent en prestances. Leurs abilitées en chant pour Ningning et Winter sont si impresionnantes. Sans oubliée Karina et Giselle, elles sont aussi bonne en chant que en rap. Toutes les filles sont polyvalentes. On a l'impression que l'histoire a bien avancer. Je sais pas si Black Mamba est élliminée ou c'est juste un sou fifre à elle.
