This song is almost like a prequel to the more confident Illusion and the instrumental goes so well with the lyrics. The lyrics are about breaking out of an illusion ("fear") and finding the truth (your real self) by overcoming your biggest fear and enemy: you. And as the instrumental progresses, you can see how it fits the progression or character development in the lyrics as well. It gets stronger and then the bridge builds this eerie, tense mood leading into the climax of the final chorus which sonically complements the lyrics: the protagonist evolves into a more fearsome version of herself. It's uplifting but also sounds twisted, both lyrically and musically.
