idk if it's just me but whiplash feels super empty compared to aespa's recent songs. it's still a great song but i was definitely expecting a lot more layering and fullness. just goes to show aespa doesn't need much to make a great song!

It's not really as vocal-heavy as their previous songs; it's actually more like Supernova. What I mean is that recently SM and their producers have chosen to close the more-apparent gaps they created from the lack of vocals in certain parts by making the instrumental and the embellishments in the music more noticeable through the slight reduction of harmonies and the ever-so-slight increase of the volume of the instrumental.
