I think ILLIT is doing something more their own here. I love the new aespa, they are indeed pushing creative boundries with this release, and I am definitely here for this!

In my opinion I don't think illit has ever been similar to Newjeans. As a fan of both, neither magnetic nor lucky girl syndrome sounded like a song newjeans would drop nor did the concept visuals match newjeans at all since newjeans is more y2k while illit's visuals focuses on more pinks, whites, and pastel colours that give a more dreamy, girly, innocent vibe. I think the biggest similarity they had was simply the use of softer tone vocals rather than powerful vocals but I think that should be expected since their concept is dreamcore and not girl crush. Still, they made the effort to include more black outfits most likely to stop the comparions and their vibe has not changed despite it so I'm glad they are making things work. I hope one day all these silly wars between fandoms could stop because it is mentally damaging for all the idols receiving all this unnecessary hate and strains on the relationship between the groups. Rooting for illit with this comeback and praying for newjeans to find an end to their suffering admist this hybe and mhj war 🙏💞

As for Aespa, this song gave me such a charlie xcx vibe idk if anyone else agrees, and with the addition of the arial text flashes I think they may have been inspired by Brat perhaps. Still the song would be amazing for runways and the visuals were atleast gorgeous and unique. I really liked this comeback, however I still think Armageddon was better both as a song and visually because that mv was insane ✨️

Great comebacks, both groups slayed as usual . Aespa really served visuals with whiplash but my pick between the songs would for sure be Cherish. Ok, since you asked (and I love the channel by the way!) Whiplash is good, I like Drama and Supernova a lot more yet this track is still a banger! As for Illit, it’s nice to have them back and I agree the song is good. Although I’m showing my age here, the song is Wild World by Cat Stevens (1971)… Not a bad thing, as my parents would play me that song when I was young so perhaps there remains a heavy sense of ‘nostalgia’.
