Quite a visceral song, an emotional journey into the past, dreams of what could have been.

"Aesthesys" or Nik, if you're reading my comments I'm not defending the fact that X didn't sample your "song" legally. I'm just defending X in the way that this kind of stuff happens all the time in the music Industry especially with top artists but thank you for not spreading hate on a deceased man and for creating a beautiful instrumental, take good care of yourself.

Thank you so much for this wonderful masterpiece.🖤 I love X immensely but it sucks you never got the credit and closure you deserve. I really appreciate you for not spreading hate towards him, most people in your situation would probably let anger take over them, so that's commendable. Here's my two cents on this whole situation: The song was uploaded on his SoundCloud in 2014, meaning he was just a 16 year old kid playing around with a mic and writing music as a way to cope with what he was going through. He never expected to be this huge. Not reaching out to you is wrong, but like I said before, he was young. Samples are very common in rap music, so he probably thought this was no different (We all know it is). Taking credit for the production was foul of him, but I assume he did it to make himself look " bigger" to the relatively small following he had at that time. It is wrong, it is immoral and it sucks for you have to go through this but again, I doubt that it was intentional of his part. I also believe that if you found out about this earlier things may have been different, he was very active on social media platforms and open to people (he even gave his phone number during a concert once) and I think he would've responded to your messages if he was able to read them. It amazes me how young you were when you created this and how young he was when he gave his input as well, I personally think that the pain in his voice makes it even more heartbreaking. Both versions are equally mesmerising thought. Thank you!🖤 Greetings from Romania, orthodox brother!

Hi Though I understand your point, I'd still argue that being a 16 y.o. kid doesn't free one from responsibility and make it all OK magically, but that wasn't the biggest issue - when I discovered that my composition was taken like that with no attribution (in violation of the license), I just scolded him in soundcloud comments (since he wasn't famous back when that happened) and that was the end of it. The thing is, he wasn't a 16 y.o. kid when he decided to *monetise* his version of the track along with mine - that happened in 2017, when Jahseh was already well-known, with agents and lawyers on his payroll. And that I just couldn't swallow. Thankfully, monetisation of "Never" has been stopped since, no one else is making money off my music and that I consider a victory. As for Jahseh himself, I've forgiven the poor chap and moved on. from Russia with love, nik

@@Aesthesys I've just seen your reply, thank you! I do agree that him being 16 at the time dosen't mean he shouldn't had been held accountable for his actions, but I thought that this whole issue simply took place because of his lack of knowledge at the time. I had no idea you that contacted him back then, nor did I know he choose to monetise this later. Once again, that's inexcusable but I also believe his team is also at fault . I'm glad you found forgivness! Much love to you!

@@diaconualexandravasilica736 i'd like to add that when aethesys made the soundcloud comment it was just the 17th comment. Like you said, he was very active on social media, I don't think he ever responded to comments on his soundcloud but i'd find it hard to believe that he never read them either.
@kody96535 жыл бұрын
Aesthesys i know you probably don’t respond to these comments anymore, but i really really do think if you would’ve reached out to jahseh instead of scolding him in soundcloud it would’ve been resolved quicker. X’s life and passion WAS music and he’s said multiple times that it has saved his life. imo him being a depressed 16 year old does give some clarity because he probably had no such clue as to what he was even doing and i feel like if you would have reached out to him he would’ve done something, especially knowing that he obviously valued your wonderful work, considering he used a whole peice in a song

brxyann I know right. Xxxtentacion was so young but people judge him as if he was much older. I wonder what choices did these commenters make at X’s age that probably weren’t totally correct. In any case, X enhanced this song by making amazing poetry and vocals alongside it.
@Aesthesys5 жыл бұрын
Detox mission is on! We can argue whether X enhanced this composition or not, that's beyond the point (and since it's been forgiven, there's no need to even argue about anything). But if anyone cares, I'd rather have my music unenhanced. It's exactly the way I intended it to be, so there's that.

In 2011 I decided to re-record some of my old tunes, as back in a day I used to record it at home with almost no experience or knowledge when it comes to these things. I felt like I have to do justice by some of the compositions that had clear technical issues in terms of mixing or were badly recorded to begin with. That's why there's another version of this track.
