for the really small scraps if you know anyone that makes toys, they can be used for stuffing!

There’s definitely people that would gladly take scrap yarn!! 🫣😃

For people in the UK and Europe, Hedgehog Fibres recycles small amounts of yarn and yarn cuttings to make the nepps in their tweed yarn and they'll send you a coupon code for donating! (I say europe bc shipping 1kg of yarn from anywhere else in the world is exorbitantly expensive)

All that yarn would be great for a scrap blanket

For all the smaller bits, I put mine in small ziplock bags to keep them contained. Then I put those in clear plastic bins with lids that are stackable so I can see everything and it's all organized in one place.

I think someone would actually appreciate random yarn (me 😅) maybe do a giveaway for your subscribers and followers on other social media platforms

Have you considered using the little crates for muller balls and putting almost full skeins on the shelf next to the crate?

I found those crates on Amazon too when I initially saw your thumbnail, but wasn't sure where the video was after I remembered. Glad I found it again! Agreed they are small, and I wish there were larger ones. Coloured bins are so helpful.

If your winding up the yarn early it is worth caking it twice. The second time allows for a much looser cake without the tension on the yarn.

I know this is 2 months ago but it would look soooo goood if you raised the coloured baskets a few cm with some wood or something and then in front put the cakes and hanks in the colour of the baskets. So that each shelf has the scraps in baskets, with cakes and hanks in front 😃 would be a rainbow dream

I know someone would take the yarn. Churches, homeless shelters, animal shelters and other places. They make blankets, hat, scarfs and more for animals and humans. Always donate your yarn. Someone will appreciate it more than you know

You mean well but this is not really organisation', it is just throwing things into baskets. It has to do with size and volume. Try watching organisation' videos, it will help you in depth. Thanx
@elaineboone85673 ай бұрын
I have watched about 10 yarn organization videos. Not a single one organized by yarn content and thickness (fingering, worsted, etc. They are just concerned about how it looks, not ease of combining yarns for a project. Frustrating.
