Just wanted to point out to the guy who said he's injured and asked how to lose weight without cardio. Alex, I know you just explained to him how he can do it if that's what he wants to do, but it needs to be emphasized that, when you're injured, the last thing you want to be doing is staying in a deficit. It will take longer to heal, and even the quality of the healing might be worse because of lack of nutrients and building blocks in a calorically restricted state. There's pretty conclusive literature on this. So, I would say, if you're injured you should stay at least at meintenance, if not a slight surplus to cover all your bases. You got hurt and that's your body telling you to back off, don't punish it by restricting calories. Heal up, and you can get leaner when you're not injured anymore.
@thestuff43216 жыл бұрын
Grey Knight What if the guy is 400 pounds?
@greyknight51686 жыл бұрын
@@thestuff4321 If he's obese, obviously this doesn't exactly apply, but I would say healing an injury properly should almost always be of higher priority than getting leaner. If you're below 25% body fat I would not risk being in a deficit while injured. Even slightly higher than that, I personally wouldn't. Staying in maintenance is not hard, and the risk is just not worth it. Now, if you're obese and your blood work is shit, LDL through the roof, and you're on the brink of developing a serious illness due to the weight, only then I would say, yes, stay in a deficit.

Q&A: What do you think of full body, 6-7 days a week, one excercise for every muscle, 6 compounds and 10 isolation with concurrent?
@Bowfella6 жыл бұрын
If you have some vendetta against your tendons and ligaments or are on steroids then sure. You do not need 10 isolation movements, for novices I'd stick to maybe 3-5. Throwing concurrent in there doesn't make it any better tbh. I guarantee that within the first week or two following this you will plateau on every one of those compounds and get tendinitis in your bicep tendons.

@averagewheyenjoyer6 жыл бұрын
Fratboy Fitness Greg is getting hated on because he is doing something different and making gains. The general fitness industry wants to make it like there’s only one and only scientifically proven way to do things optimally and make gains. I know so fucking many natty bros doing bro splits never having a crazy diet, never going into science stuff and still look as good as the top natural fitness guys. What they all do the same is eat pretty healthy, workout regularly for years (5+) and don’t over complicate stuff. We’re over complicating this fitness/bodybuilding thing.

@inteli3i5i76 жыл бұрын
This a common misconception. Lifting doesn't stunt growth. In fact strength training has shown to help improve bone density in teens and children. Now, the reason people say this is because young lifters often lift with ego and/or improper form. Of course if a kid is trying to lift his 1RM all the time, he is likely to get injured and THAT can stunt growth.

Hey Alex. So I'm 19 5 '7 First year of lifting I ate a lot and gained muscle fast and I was already overweight at the time (220lbs.) I spent months cutting until my leanest was 168 pounds. And then bulked because I had lost mostly muscle in the process. Then got fat again. Cut. And now I'm 180lbs with a decent foundation and numbers. I know how to dial in nutrition now and only eating in a 300 caloriesurplus. And lifting 5 heavy 5 days aweek. How long should a bulk period be for. I'm afraid of fuckijg up my hormones or something and I may have done damage already

Could I run a Power lifting program and a hypertrophy program at the same without over training? I'm 16 if it matters and i'm trying to get my numbers up as well as improving my physique. My current Numbers are a 405 Squat, 270 bench, and a 465 dead lift @ 175 bodyweight

Run his program he legit runs an intensisty(strength) and volume(body building) day but focus on the 3 powerlifting movements ans rotate them with movements that carry 9cer ro the bench squat and deadlift and on volume day do hig volume accessories for those 3 lifts and than some for body building purposes

Thoughts on running every day. Diffrentiating from sprints to long distance running etc. On diffrent days. Combined with full body twice a week and a skills day. Will your body adapt if u decide to build up to this or will it mess up the recovery too much.
