Alex is red-pilled and self-aware. I can feel his value system is sound and principled, he is increasingly assertive and empathetic at the same time. I also notice that some fitness youtubers are creating packs while he is just happy bringing value to his audience on his own.His closing bit about people worrying too much about his looks tells a lot about what kind of person he is. Alex is my kind of guy

Just wanted to point out to the guy who said he's injured and asked how to lose weight without cardio. Alex, I know you just explained to him how he can do it if that's what he wants to do, but it needs to be emphasized that, when you're injured, the last thing you want to be doing is staying in a deficit. It will take longer to heal, and even the quality of the healing might be worse because of lack of nutrients and building blocks in a calorically restricted state. There's pretty conclusive literature on this. So, I would say, if you're injured you should stay at least at meintenance, if not a slight surplus to cover all your bases. You got hurt and that's your body telling you to back off, don't punish it by restricting calories. Heal up, and you can get leaner when you're not injured anymore.

Grey Knight What if the guy is 400 pounds?
@greyknight5168
@greyknight5168 6 жыл бұрын
@@thestuff4321 If he's obese, obviously this doesn't exactly apply, but I would say healing an injury properly should almost always be of higher priority than getting leaner. If you're below 25% body fat I would not risk being in a deficit while injured. Even slightly higher than that, I personally wouldn't. Staying in maintenance is not hard, and the risk is just not worth it. Now, if you're obese and your blood work is shit, LDL through the roof, and you're on the brink of developing a serious illness due to the weight, only then I would say, yes, stay in a deficit.

Q&A: What do you think of full body, 6-7 days a week, one excercise for every muscle, 6 compounds and 10 isolation with concurrent?
@Bowfella
@Bowfella 6 жыл бұрын
If you have some vendetta against your tendons and ligaments or are on steroids then sure. You do not need 10 isolation movements, for novices I'd stick to maybe 3-5. Throwing concurrent in there doesn't make it any better tbh. I guarantee that within the first week or two following this you will plateau on every one of those compounds and get tendinitis in your bicep tendons.

Hi Alpha, I didn't cut my hair from last November, And I have a big beard (fortunately I have good genetics for the beard, but I struggle with alopecia areata - using minoxidil for 3months now(and thanks to you because I saw it in your channel)). From everybody I get that you look better without the hair, but I don't give a fuck. My reason is just that I do it because I can, and I love the metal and once in my life I wanted to look like a real caveman. So keep going and don't listen to the haters, that's your life and your path. :)

Fratboy Fitness Greg is getting hated on because he is doing something different and making gains. The general fitness industry wants to make it like there’s only one and only scientifically proven way to do things optimally and make gains. I know so fucking many natty bros doing bro splits never having a crazy diet, never going into science stuff and still look as good as the top natural fitness guys. What they all do the same is eat pretty healthy, workout regularly for years (5+) and don’t over complicate stuff. We’re over complicating this fitness/bodybuilding thing.

something might be wrong with your training or you need to switch it up. ive been eating at a deficit for 2 years with some cheating i also started intermittent fasting about 6 months ago. i ran splits for most of my training about 4 year and got pretty strong about 3 months ago i started doing fullbody 3 times a week and got STUPID GAINS!!! in 3 months i lost 15lbs and made noob level strength and size gains.

For how long I’m going to be out and the major muscle imbalance I will have to over come. How long do you think it will take reach these numbers again specifically the lower body movements?

Recently I didn't even got sore from it and I don't think I'm growing in the upper traps anymore even though I try to make the exercise more challenging like holding every rep at the top and let it stretch for a few seconds.. do you suggest to stop doing rack pulls and heavy power shrugs for awhile and maybe try to increase the weight of my rows or OHP instead?

Yo Alex. I have this soreness and tightness radiating on the back of my neck/traps. It may be something to do with my head posture, however I have tried tuck my chin back and in which only seems to further the discomfort. Is this due to a weak neck? @inteli3i5i7
@inteli3i5i7 6 жыл бұрын
This a common misconception. Lifting doesn't stunt growth. In fact strength training has shown to help improve bone density in teens and children. Now, the reason people say this is because young lifters often lift with ego and/or improper form. Of course if a kid is trying to lift his 1RM all the time, he is likely to get injured and THAT can stunt growth.

Hey alex, I'm a novice recently started training with weights at home, so far I've only been able to get a couple of 22.5lbs adjustable dumbells and I also filled up a backpack with books, so that adds another 22.5lbs. Things like rows, floor presses, romanian deadlifts, squats and shrugs feel a bit easy, and I can easily do more than 10 reps of. I wonder how to make more out of less weight and in which exercises should I use the backpack to load up some more weight, so far I've only been using it for pushups.

Okay Alex i'm cool with it anyway but if you are trying to grow out a big beard and it's not for looks but for other reasons i cant seem to come up with anything else than maybe some religious thing. Did you maybe convert to Islam or something? I know i won't get a response to this and it makes a lot of sense but im just speaking my mind.

Should I continue follow your novice program if I start training boxing 4 times a week? My bench is 60 kg deadlift around 100 and squat 75 kg I feel like I’ve 10 lbs of muscle left of my noob gains.

Hey Alex, I am currently training using your beginner's program (3 days/week). I have the opportunity to train a 4th time : should I do it ? by the way I have weak arms and upper-back so I can use this 4th training to strengthen them, what's your opinion ?

Alex, what is your experience with getting used to different dumbbells at different gyms? I'm not crazy when I initially seem a lot weaker than was at my previous gym but then I adapt and am quickly moving the same weight if not more...It's happened a lot in my experience...you?

My little brother is 14 and starting to get into lifting and he wants to run your novice program, but I don't think 225 bench 315 squat and 405 deadlift are realistic for someone his age. What would your standards be for a teenager in terms of "advanced" level strength?

is it possible to have bad genetics for strength and good genetics for muscle? I build a good amount of muscle in 2 years I like how I look but my max bench is 185 for 1 even with a surplus for months and I can't get to 190 I bench 3 times a week every month

hi alex, so i am 30 years old, and i started going to the gym aprox 3 months ago and got the motivation by watching you doing it naturally however i think i have a problem with strength distribution as below: i am 5 ft 10in at 200 lb i can bench 110 kg (240 lb) for 10 reps, however i can only squat 220 lb, and when i try to increase it my knees start caving in, i have the same issue with deadlift (240 lb), as u can see my deadlift and my legs are lagging behind! how can i fix this?HELP

Hey Alex. So I'm 19 5 '7 First year of lifting I ate a lot and gained muscle fast and I was already overweight at the time (220lbs.) I spent months cutting until my leanest was 168 pounds. And then bulked because I had lost mostly muscle in the process. Then got fat again. Cut. And now I'm 180lbs with a decent foundation and numbers. I know how to dial in nutrition now and only eating in a 300 caloriesurplus. And lifting 5 heavy 5 days aweek. How long should a bulk period be for. I'm afraid of fuckijg up my hormones or something and I may have done damage already

Thoughts on running every day. Diffrentiating from sprints to long distance running etc. On diffrent days. Combined with full body twice a week and a skills day. Will your body adapt if u decide to build up to this or will it mess up the recovery too much.
