@@Happy-wb8gi The Roman empire is very interesting but there are several others at least as successful and influential, like for example the british and french empires (both also were far larger than the romans). The Roman and Greek mythology speaks to the imagination though.

@@Shade01982 I genuinely agree that The British and French were amazing empures, but still no comparison. 900 years of rule for Rome, who gave us LATIN, which both French and English language have in their alphabet. London was Created by the Romans as well as Constantinople. No comparison my friend.

@Happy 2021 The English gave us the world the language English. I'd say that's a far bigger influence than Latin. And Latin itself was also influenced by an entire continent of other languages, so they can't really claim sole property there... The English were also a major contributor to slavery through colonialism, and so we're the French. If we're counting Latin as a big influence, we should also be looking at several eastern empires, of which there are also a few very interesting examples. One of which gave us numbers and was a huge influence to calculus. I didn't say only positive influences count, but in our current day, I'd say their influences are far more tangible than the Romans. They also covered far more area-wise than the Roman empire.

@@Shade01982 Look up the Renaissance period and how the Peruzzi bank saved England from total economic collapse, thanks to a loan given to King Henry which was never payed back. 90 % of the English alphabet is Latin, without an alphabet you have no language! The Romans taught you English how to read and write and also how to poo, because until they arrived they done it on each other. The Renaissance period saved England and funny enough, even their flag, Saint George is Italian, from Genoa. Santo Giorgioooooo🤣🤣🤣👍

Awesome concept. As far as I can see only 2 reality exceptions would be needed to make this otherwise feel achievable within just a 2000 year span, which is far better than most novels/shows/games. 1) Rome somehow had an unbroken series of enlightened emperors and/or a senate that remained mostly free of corruption for its entire existence. 2) They somehow found a way to reliably stabilise their economy away from expansionism after each conquest.

Holy shit man, that was epic! Chills! Literally chills! Please, when making the video dedicated to the Japanese Empire look for a female but equally imposing voice to give a beautiful contrast to the worldbuilding; perhaps being the ambitious and arrogant empress seeking to establish dominance and superiority. In my headcanon Rome and Japan are the main rival factions, Egypt is 100% neutral and Scandinavia pretends to be neutral but is up to something behind the scenes.
