@Oxygen1004 far as I know, being in the Command Zone isn't considered to be Exiled. Otherwise cards that work with exiled cards would by default, affect other's Commanders. There's cards like Szat and Command Beacon that do target cards in the Command Zone

I think she could be from the plane after Bloomburrow. It seems to have an insect motif and a fair bit of modern horror tropes include insects and arachnids.

Could definitely be from either. Something about the art definitely suggested Innistrad to me, but that could also mean Duskmourn.

I love the idea of none humanoid Planeswalkers and putting a twist on what one would expect from things from a hive mind of insects' leader and stuff, I know the comic isn't canon, but I hope Grist, morbid imagery and all, stays as a good allied (even if it's only technically) character, cuz if they make her story from the comic pseudo cannon (as in it technically happened but happened in a different way but with a similar out come) then I think I found a Planeswalker I would put high on my favorite Planeswalker list

Man! Grist is quite an interest concept Planeswalker. The fact that even an insect can gain a spark can open the opportunity for animalistic walkers that can cause havoc not as a villainous mastermind but as a force of nature unshackled. ------------------ Side Note: What a stroll through memory lane, I remembered when I once watched your series back when I was in my prime on magic lore about seven years ago. So this is quite a nostalgic return. (I noticed it’s the third season. Quite something.)

Love grist shes one of my commanders and scarily so especially with Agatha's soul cauldron. but yeah we need more inhuman walkers like the whale bolas killed or situations like grist being a force of nature or its unique natures. But also species like vashino or raccon gangster we need more cool looking ones but no like overly abundant but just more.

I like the idea of nonhumanoid Planeswalkers. I don't read the books, so I don't know the details of the character, but I would like Lord Skitter from eldraine to become a Planeswalker. It would be comical and fun to have a cosmically empowered rat monarch as a card. Anyway thanks for the video, and letting us know about this awesome character! Can't wait to see the next video, keep up the spooky work!

talking about weird planeswalkers really gave my mind running fuel on how scary and potentially fun an actual PHYREXIAN planeswalker be like. like, imagine some poor soul on New Phyrexia who missed the invasion because their body was not yet ready, maybe they were part of the Quiet Furnace and decided not to mess with that and instead stayed on the plane until it phased out. this individual found a world that was basically in ruins and with the praetors gone they wandered until they found Realmbreaker's last embers and the invasion tree essence grafted to them. this caused the poor sod to spark halfway on its phyresis process and without Norn's influence the oil basically formed a symbiosis with its spark. with the power of the invasion tree and maybe by finding the last remains of the praetors(making them a 5 color phyrexian) this person essentially became the quintessence of New Phyrexia but since they started under the influence of Red mana they decided to fuck over the place and instead go out of and see what the multiverse is about. imagine a Phyrexian learning to not be an infective murder robot and instead is being guided by the remnants of what Wrenn found when se grafted to the corrupted world tree.

I REALLY hope Grist can be the villain for Bloomburrow. Grist would fit right in with that set since its all animal/ anthro-animal characters. Imagine how theyd handle Grist just sweeping through the plane basically eating it alive.

I've always found grist to be such an interesting card, for instance stern scolding can counter her and Souldren can give all your creatures her loyalty abilities, these being just a few recent examples

If not Bloomburrow then I expect Duskmourn. Grist would be very fitting for a modern horror theme and with a plane that is a single haunted house she may have been driven to feed on less green and more blood red sources. It wouldn't even necessarily violate her pact with Ajani (from her perspective) she promised not to destroy farmland and to be renewable with resources - devouring people, if not the entire population, *is* technically renewable.
