While the tv ratings have been down this year and there have been some questions pointed at AEW, I really appreciate that they are being aggressive both in the American market and the international market. Hide tides raise all boats. AEW running big shows in the UK and Australia means WWE needs to not rest on their laurels, which is great for the industry and for the fans.

That's because WWE has so much power and influence that perception becomes reality when so many people keep repeating "AEW doesn't tell stories" They have Peter Rosenberg who is on Hot 97, they have Pat McAfee who has his own podcast, they have Logan Paul who has his own podcast, they have Bully Ray on Busted Open, Eric Bischoff who has his own podcast, Kevin Nash who has his own podcast, Ariel Helwani who has his own podcast, they have Booker T who his own podcast and many more who legit get paid by WWE via Legend contracts or frequently work for WWE to bash AEW consistently and repeatedly. Not to mention all the wrestling channels on KZbin that are afraid to piss off WWE and their audience who for the most part only watch WWE and nothing else. Channels like Wrestletalk, Cultaholic, WhatCulture, JDFromNY, Ango and tons of others who have an unhealthy nostalgic attachment to WWE because they love Triple H, CM Punk or whoever else that is in WWE. WWE is Fox News in America and AEW isn't the size of CNN or MSNBC because it's only been around since 2019 whereas WWE has existed in some sort of fashion since the 1950s and had a monopoly position for 19 years in America
