i personally enjoy AEWs controls more... they both have their bugs but i haven't been able to finish a WWE career / campaign in this or last years release... AEWs goal was "easy to pickup and play" but still be fun. While buggy...it did accomplish that. I Have fun playing this game w/my wife and 2 kids weekly. It wasn't as doable with WWE and the QTE are EXTREMELY annoying.

Box art and story for 2K 23 should've been UNDERTAKER. Nuff said. the release of this after getting last year's game and realizing the money grubbing tactics that is the expectation of starting over after every single year, often by the time you get a chance to get to the last game you bought finally, is just unreal. If AEW does a better job with their character creator, rather go with a game that respects it's buyers and maybe puts one out only after every few years with real reasons why if not simply giving us what other games can. And that's just simply fair continued support that doesn't ask us to start over for such barely incremental changes like slightly prettier and barely noticeable visual changes and match types that should've been DLC.

7:25 The moment 2K became a certain past wrestling arcade game. Not even Lex Luger in his prime was going to do this, and Yoko had his OH NO! spot of being finally lifted and slammed by him. Fun though to see in a virtual arcade like experience for the funzies though. Why this game was featuring Cena instead of Undertaker for the box art and story though just feels in bad timing. With Undertaker retiring just during the time of the last game, this felt like it was the moment for the true send off of the best phenomenon wrestling has ever known in an iconic character, and the true end of an age.

I also notice that the ref actions feel like they're getting lazier and lazier. If the tapping was going for that long, why the hell wouldn't they act like they need to get involved or at least shout at the other wrestler? Was it really that much more to ask instead of having them stand there staring out to nowhere after finishing their blatant match called animation ? I expect that from an indie tittle, not a formally licensed WWE tittle born out of a company that pushes such visuals as the appeal. Feels like a simple ad to point them toward the wrestler or looking back realizing they're still tapping longer than some garage band's drum solo.

2 Bad games, yeah if you are younger then 42 you might not agree, but i play wrestling games for like 30 years.. aew feels like a playstation 1 game (wcw backstage assault) then 2k23 it just feels boring, they let you import a wrestler into my rise.. so i chose mortis and the dumb story not allow me to wear a mask.. then i bet u need to play money in the bank and the royal rumble again that you are forced to win.. it's 2023 and you can't even bodyslam opponents on top of eachother.. was possible in 2010

1- definitely 2K. Better impact, flip and sell. Also Nice Page CAW 2-50/50. While the 2K sell Is Better and cooler, i love the way they Just drop dead in FF 3-i mean, it's the same animation so both 4- 2K here, the FF swanton Is kinda meh ngl 5- I love the height It gets in 2K as well as the Jump 6-FF, Better impact. Love the bounce. 7- FF has more impact but 2K Is cleaner. 8-FF here, looks similar but slightly better. 9- both are good. FF has a proper straight regular chokeslam while 2K has cool variations but the original Is meh 10-FF for this particolar TKO. There are Better variations in 2K thought 11- FF all day. That sell Is lit! 12- same move, same animation. Both good. 13- FF. They nailed the Speed and impact of the superkick 14-2K here. The FF looks like It barely comnects 15- FF. Not Just because the turnbuckle but the Oklahoma slam Is clean 16- 2K. It's awesome, Great impact and sell. The FF Is good but 2K's Better 17- 2K. Looks kinda off in FF like most diving moves. 18-FF. Looks proper instead of a Butterfly suplex 19- the move sucks but it's not the developers fault lol so eh both. Same animation 20-2K Is very slick here, gotta go with that 21-FF. I love the sell 22- same animation, both look good. 23- while FF Is smoother i do prefer the impact in 2K 24- the Alabama set up Is very cool but the move itself looks more brutale in FF 25- 2K. It looks off in FF 26- 2K. The sell Is much Better 27- FF, love the set up and the smoothness. 28- both. They are very similar and both good. 29- literally the same animation, but it's good regardless 30-it's tecnically the same animation but the 2K looks slightly better. 31- same deal with the last move except FF looks Better this time. 32- 2K. Why all the running moves in FF looks this weird lol 33- FF Is faster but 2K feels more satisfying 34- there Is an insane V trigger in 2K shame you didn't out THAT. Regardless the 2K version looks more impactful 35- FF here. 2K Is good but the other Is PERFECT

I like Fight Forever's finishers more with the snap and impact and their motion is very similar to irl counterparts. The hit detections on diving moves is a big plus for me too, like they don't magically get repositioned. I also like that you can hit these moves differently depending on the situation, I hit the black arrow on an opponent who's about to get up and it looked like he got hit by a corkscrew shooting star DDT. Buckshot Lariat to the back of the head is sick too.
