Can we stip pretending that AEW influenced WWE at all? What improved WWE was the initial ouseur of Vince in 2022, his push into a ceremonial role after the sale, and Vince's permanent ousteur next to Rumble. HHH's ascencion would have happened with or without Tony Clown raping the indies and NJPW.

They are so far up their own ass with all the "smart" stuff that they wouldn't know a pro-wrestling show if they saw it. Its not only normalizing bad habits for an entire generation of wrestlers, but its normalizing bad habits for consumers of wrestling... and it goes beyond the core "pro-wrestling fanbase" For all the sht Vince Russo gets for never being able to finish a story, or Vince McMahon gets for 20 years of what ever tf WWE was... Tony has done equally as much, if not more damage as both of them combined in under 5 years.... what makes it worse is that his fan base are convinced they are doing things the right way, and are also the most vocal... so as they are all trying to prove how smart they are, they are making the entire industry look absolutely fcking absurd to anybody who isn't already eyeball deep in "smart marks" sht.

"NBA was a loss leader" - A loss leader is something you make a loss on that has other benefits such as bringing more viewers to the channel before and after. It's a strategic decision, it doesn't make it an equivalent to something else that makes a loss without any other benefits. Meltzer is maybe dumber than old Fappyboy at Fightful, but it's a limbo contest more than a high jump...

Or is he just some jurnalist/analyist who does his own hobby ratings judged by his own personal oponion with no match to match standard aplyed the same across every match and actualy they are just for fun...or does any org actualy work and play by them as a quality standard world wide. It just seems weird. In regards to the women, like anything in life, things have to happen in due time. Women's wrestling was completely decimated by the combination of Moolah and the Attitude Era. Women's wrestling essentially started over from scratch about fifteen years ago. We are just now reaching the point where the first generation of serious female wrestlers are becoming trainers. All of the infrastructure around women's wrestling is having to be rebuilt, and that takes time. While there are some great female wrestlers out there, there are not enough at this point in time for every company on Earth to have a women's division. Trying to force it has put a lot of women on tv long before they are ready. That is the issue in AEW. There were not enough big names available to build a division around, and while AEW does have some women who could be stars in the future, most of them are not ready yet, and it makes no sense to put women on tv who are not ready at the expense of male wrestlers that are ready, just to please the internet. Everything has to happen in due time. One day women's wrestling will reach that point, but it is not time yet.
@phatboybright5 ай бұрын
WWE as a whole if you include NXT does better with women but I’m going to be honest every women’s match had real build for double or nothing. Not saying the booking was great but both matches have had over 2 months of build at least. Preshow match for king/queen Ple was more shoehorned. I’ll critique all day but I’m going to be fair too.

AEW if they get a new contract and it's for less they'll say but we're still on TV, if it's the same amount they'll say, well see, we didn't lose any money, and if it's slightly more, they'll say see we got a raise that's how well we're doing. As for comparing to the NBA. In my opinion WWE would be the NBA, Major League baseball, the NHL, and the national football League. AEW would be the wnba, triple a baseball, AHL, and the UFL. Suck on that fans of AEW! As for the Roddy Piper comments I would say people remember several of his matches from 40-45 years ago. I can guarantee you that 35 years from now no one is going to remember any match from aeW that occurred in the last 5 years.
