To be fair I soured on Mercedes mainly cause the match quality has gone down tremendously. Besides Willow and Stephanie Vaquer, she just doesn't have a lot of chemistry with the majority of the women who's walked through the AEW door. Most disappointing in 2024 is a tough but fair distinction.

For Owens in AEW, cons (from interviews he's given) : _He doesn't have that hunger for challenging himself and doing crazy things, he loves WWE as a brand, and as a family. He's happy to help there, less stressed about his position in the roster (i think that's a lie). But he crtainly doesn't have that "i'll prove myself in the indies" mentality. _I don't think it's that simple for AEW, he's expansive, and would he be a main eventer there ? He would have to reinvent himself a bit i think. Pros: _He's frustrated, and even mad at having pushed for a Quebec ppv and not being booked for it. He was also mad at him and Samy not being booked well at all as tag champs. _Something surprising (that goes into both direction) is that WWE didn't really seem to give him anything big this time to convince him to stay. Last Mania was a total downgrade with a souless feud and no real chance at winning, he just had a filler 3 weeks feud with Cody where there made sure to tell you "it's nothing important" during the entire build... _We though he was a Triple H guy, and maybe he did to ? But he wasn't push more since Vince is gone. Actually his two last big things were under Vince.

Not only that but people have busy lives and don’t have time to watch every promotion or indy stream on youtube, so building them up within nxt is the smart choice for year one at least. Tag division needs an injection in wwe, so using mcmg against gallus would be a great way to build both teams up and then bring both to the main roster. Add Lucha Bros to mix and suddenly tat division HAS that lethal injection of solid teams to build off of.

The Mercedes story came from Ringside News which is a tabloid news site. Not only was it shot down by both Saraya and Britt the story that she was the only person in AEW to ever get a private locker room was incredibly stupid considering one of the most famous events in AEW history was a fight in CM Punk's locker room. A lot of wrestling fans will never admit it but a lot of the over hate comes from the fact that she walked out of WWE and is in AEW. A lot of diehard WWE fans will never forgive her for that.
