It's just weird to see Takeshita do all these high impact and flashy moves, but then end it with a knee to the face that looks like a transition move. He always gets a big crowd pop with the BTB and his other carry moves, but then rarely gets as big of a reaction from his actual finisher. On top of there's just a number of wrestlers now that use a running/jumping/ripcord knee as a finisher, you'd think you'd want to use something no one else on TV is using. It just feels like if Kevin Owens hit a stunner, then stood the guy back up and hit a clothesline before pinning him.

there is a ton of history associated with that move, one of the greatest wrestlers ever jumbo tsuruta who was the ace of ajpw in 80s passed it down to jun akiyama, who then gave it to takeshita. He's carrying the legacy of Akiyama and Tsuruta with it, it's as anime as you can get.

It's one of those moves that don't win matches. Same with when Sami Zayn uses it. Way more impressive than his actual finisher but still never kept anyone down.

On a technical level, I can also see why it’s not a finisher. You’re sitting upright, and can’t apply pressure or leverage on the opponent’s shoulders. So understandable how someone could just roll an arm up to break the pin. The spin makes it impressive and a real treat to see though!

Badass? Really? A bunch of referees blatantly just helped hobbs win. There's chairs being used.. in a ladder match. So it's no dq now? Why doesn't anybody hire 10 guys to come help them win? Shawn vs Razor is a classic example or a ladder match. They made sire it always looked like they was trying to win the match. They used the ladder in such a way so it wasn't used as weapon and it worked beautifully. Oh yeah and they didnt bring other weapons into the match. Seriously what part of this garbage did you believe look realistic? The typical AEW crowd applauded Hobbs at the end just for getting down the ladder safely.. Good grief. Referees hold ladders for guys all the time. If they didnt hold it, he would've fell and if he stopped to get a different ladder it would've blown the timing of the ending.
