Being in New Orleans, in his home town, gave "Absolute" Ricky Starks extra momentum and advantage. He is full of energy, and kept the crowd energetic. He kept his stamina and agility going without slowing down or stopping. He's very quick mashallah, as is Swerve Strickland. Even Keith Lee and Powerhouse Hobbs, both super heavyweights, can speed up. Encore to these four amazing competitors.

Yes I know Starks is going to be a big deal. Yes Lee has been brilliant for years and is going to do great in AEW. Yes I see the main stream appeal in Swerve but Powerhouse Hobbs is something special. He has such fantastic charisma and looks like a killer and is a good wrestler and promo. I’m all for Hobbs going out for a heel run soon. If AEW do the Casino Battle Royal I think Hobbs or Yuta should win. Reward the two who have been impressive and have broken out the most recently. If I’m AEW I’m having Lee beat Sky soon and building the TNT Title picture around Starks, Lee, Swerve, Sammy, Allin and Hobbs with Hobbs being the dominant champion until the Redeemer returns.

Starks has some very interesting movesets. Hobbs might be the strongest man in AEW. And Hook is massively over. I don't know what is keeping Team Tazz out of title contention. All of the tools are definitely in place.

This episode of dynamite was unbelievable. I have not been this invested in any programs to the extent of this episode. The card was stacked and every match was great in their own way except for Marina’s debut. I will say I wish Joe v Suzuki ended in a draw. Why did Suzuki lose the title in his first defense. It would’ve created this rivalry. Their back and forth was lightning in a bottle! I’m not the most knowledgeable on Njpw just seen the high profile Kenny v Okada and a couple G1’s; so is there a particular reason he dropped the belt

Suzuki only won the title to give it to Joe...the latter would have won the title initially but they obviously wanted him to win it on AEW Dynamite, and wanted the Suzuki dream match. This was the easiest way to do it. Plus, if Suzuki had held it for a while then it'd be unbelievably obvious that Joe was going to win...even if Joe obviously wasn't going to lose, the rarity of a champion losing on their first defence gave the potential for the outcome to be a draw, increasing investment in the match

My favourite thing on what was a fantastic show. All four of these men are future World Championship material and even though, when this feud is over with, every one of them will have eaten a pin (with Ricky most likely to eat the pin in the eventual tag team rematch) all four will come out of it looking phenomenal. It's such a rare thing to have a feud like this where all four people involved are elevated off the back of it - even though they've all lost at some point. Loved it. Loved the booking, loved the Taz involvement, loved that they gave Starks so much in his home town. Home run.
