Never really looked for any pics of him unmasked nor have I read anything on why so I'm not sure why anyone wears if it's not crucial to their character as I imagine it would be hot as Hades to work in during matches. Ik in some cases it's a last line of defense against stiff punches and head injuries in general like Rey wears at times...
