I've always thought Luchasaurus would make a great big man. Many don't like his gimmick but he is a big guy that has moves of wrestlers half his weight.

When I saw AEW Double or Nothing 2019 and Luchasaurus came out, I was like "Who is this dinosaur version of Kane!?" and I was hooked on him ever since. Back then he was literally their biggest guy along with Dustin Rhodes before Jake Hager, Lance Archer, etc came along. I really hoped he was going to get a great push and it seems he's permanent mid-card / upper-card enhancement talent now. I don't care about the dinosaur gimmick. The look is great, especially now with the black, the intro w/ his pyro a while back was amazing, and he is entertaining to watch. I wish Jurassic Express had a better run with the tag titles, but Christian is best as a heel. I just wish Luchasaurus wasn't "just the muscle" for someone and was given a run like Wardlow.

This was an interesting match in that Luchasaurus battled through adversity like a babyface at times, and didn't actively participate in Cage's cheating. Not sure if it's on purpose, but it's almost like the "monster heel" is being protected somewhat from getting "opportunistic heel" type of heat. Bodes well for him getting a redemption storyline, if booked properly.

Even if you didn't know anything about these two and just so happened to tune in while channel surfing, you'd instantly feel there was some type of story here. The crowd gasping at every 2 count. This is really the sleeper in aew and the best story they have imo. I LOVE Christians role in this feud. I love the aesthetic of this little guy fighting this savage man. Both of them bring something to the table that makes it believable in-ring. I'm not even a little guy wrestler fan, at least not this JB little, but I can't deny JB's talent. His ability and the way he executes is great! Lucha is my boy! I just hope these three really realize what they have going. May not be the headliner, but it's awesome storytelling, awesome performance and a great job!
