My reply comes late, but thanks so much!! Great that you've been at this Futurama Festival, this must have been fantastic! Wish I could have been there too, but back then I was still a stupid teen here in Berlin, listened to punk rock and had never heard of Clock DVA... This discovery started two years later, but much to my regret I've missed every Clock DVA concert so far. Cheers!

Das sind Clock DVA? Hammer. Da hat sich ja gewaltig was verändert, seit dem. Ist ja fast so wie bei Ministry.

Sorry, hab deinen Kommentar total übersehen... Ja, die Enwicklung von Clock DVA ist schon erstaunlich. Allerdings findet sich auch schon bei den ganz frühen Sachen die Vorliebe für Industrial und Experimentelles (auch wenn man das bei "4 Hours" eher weniger hört). Und die frühen Alben mag ich in ihrer schrägen Postpunk/Jazz-Mixtur auch besonders gern. Der Vergleich mit der Entwicklung von Ministry ist nicht schlecht, allerdings geb ich zu, daß ich mit den späteren Ministry-Alben immer weniger anfangen konnte... Clock DVA haben mich aber nie entäuscht ;-)

@@AFallingBird Geht mir genau so. Jedes weitere Album von Ministry nach "Psalm 69" wurde mir immer unzugänglicher. Aber Clock DVA wurden gefühlt immer besser. Das ist selten. Auch Skinny Puppy haben das geschafft.

@@rudithement Bei Ministry verabschiede ich mich schon Anfang der 90er, Al Jourgensens Vorliebe für Heavy Metal war irgendwie nie so meins... Ist aber natürlich alles Geschmacksache. Die frühen New Wave/Synthpopsachen (besonders auch die Demos aus der Ära) und ebenso die "Twitch"-Phase mag ich aber sehr gern. Clock DVA sind da aber einen weitaus interessanteren Weg gegangen und es ist erstaunlich, was für tolles Material Adi Newton auch heute noch fabriziert. Übrigens sind auch die Projekte der Ex-Clock DVA-Miglieder Paul Browse (z. B. System 01) und Dean Dennis (Sector) sehr hörenswert. Und natürlich darf man auch Newtons Anti Group nicht vergessen. Das ganze Clock DVA-Universum ist schon eine faszinierende Angelegenheit, damals ebenso wie heute.
