Thank youu po. Although may question lang ako regarding previously held interest. Automatic FV na ba ang gagamitin, no need icompare sa proportionate share? Ang pagkakagets ko kasi bakit ginagawa sya sa NCI is to be fair kasi nagbebenefit din naman sila sa change in FV ng net assets ni subsidiary. Kaya when the FV tends to be lower, yung proportionate share ang kukunin to be fair to the holders of NCI. Hindi ba ganun din si previously held interest? I don't know though naisip ko langg.

Hello po, sir. May tanong lang po ako, medyo naguguluhan po kasi alo in which approach to use po when computing goodwill and NCI. If nakastate po sa problem na goodwill is assigned proportionately, automatic na po ba na proportionate basis yung gagamitin pati sa computation ng NCI? Or compare pa rin po sa fair value basis whichever is higher?

Ang pagkakaintindi ko po kasi always pong magcocompute ng prop share and kung ano ang mas higher yun po ang gagamitin. Or kapag po indicated na sa problem no need na po ba?
