This is not true at all. He signed as a FA. I agree with Chris, the offense is dangerous for The #Raiders The defense is extremely suspect especially with Pateick Graham at the helm. They would do great in the first half. Opposing offenses would adjust at halftime, and come back to win. I havent seen Graham adjust his scheme in the second half.

It's easy to know what happened. Offense was off (including Herbert) and it's the defense (and that muffed punt) that gave them this 27-0. If the offense was in focus, that would have been AT LEAST 31-0. The play where both Parham and Allen were wide open in the endzone and Herbert threw a laser over Allen and they were limited to a FG was the perfect example of that disconnect. Added to that Lombardi that called 3 run plays all second half where you need to kill the clock. All these incomplete passes that stopped the clock didn't help.

Offensive head coaches accidentally field better defenses and actually support their QBs. Only 2 top defensive teams to make the Super Bowl in the past 6 seasons were both coached by offensive head coaches. And they were both beat by other offensive coaches, who actually managed to get their side of the ball right. Shocker.

Raiders were lucky to win 6 games last year. Beat Seattle on a fluke 80 yard play. Barely beat Houston. Beat Broncos with no offense and barely won. Should have been 2-15. Probably0-17 this year. Non of players want to play for them.

Don't have the players with the top WR, arguably top EDGE, and top RB? Every team has holes as Belichick has said, but if you can't put a team together with having that talent, you gots to go if a second non winning season. Raiders are nowhere near a rebuild here: what Gruden did was that, he shipped Coop and Mack and Mack before the season even started, his first season. The offense already has the LT, C, and one G too in Par also (had LT, C and one G in Good last year); wouldn't say it's this great OL though, if you watched enough. Jacobs was making people miss and running over when the blocking wasn't good, through mid season. They messed up the DT group last year, so it's on them to fix that. I have my doubts with Bilal and Tillery and the mix. Chan is a good edge vet if he plays. They drafted a stud at EDGE. They got their secondary guys to go with Hobbs and Moerig. They got their WR's and TE and Waller was a stud TE they moved on from too. G is solid if he can hold up, but the rookie can work with a run game and defense, too. Raiders fan and pressure should be on Josh to win right now. He was supposed to win last year with the moves that were all in. Win and compete for playoffs should be the expectation. It may not be with Mark Davis, but I doubt he is the same with another 6 win or less if so. Non winning season if so. Beat the Broncos!

46 of 53 players on the active roster were not here when Mcdaniels took over. This is a complete rebuild that's why anyone who is anyone is predicting a 7 win season at best. I believe that's the floor and over achieving is 10 wins.

Chiefs are still the cream with Mahomes and coach but Chargers have not proven anything except losing to the Broncos last year. I don't trust them to be 3rd they will struggle with Raiders and Broncos. Anyone could be 2nd this year.
