Fantastic result for the Mariners and Australian football. Glad to see having the final played in Muscat brought in the big crowd. Must have had the work experience kid selecting venues for the final at AFC this year 🤦‍♂️ There will be a bigger crowd at Sydney Airport arrivals terminal when the lads return.

In the Gulf countries, entering the stadium to watch local league matches is free, and yet you do not see a large crowd attending. In Europe, on the contrary, tickets to enter the matches are expensive, and yet you find people from all groups and classes, despite the difficult economic situation, attending weekly, and sometimes 2 times a week, to watch their favorite team matches, even though the players have millions of dollars in their bank accounts😂😂

It is funny how Australia has practically make more history in AFC in 19 years than most of their members in history. The only country whose teams have won Asian Champions League and AFC cup The country that made possible to have 5 and 6 Asian teams in the 2018 and 2022 world cups respectivelly making it the only country to win the international playoff for AFC in their history. But for some reasons people from AFC nations specially those from Arabs, South and South East Asia cry and whine too much about having Australia as a member but if it wasn't for them AFC would not have this ammount of recent success.

Allowing Oman, a country of only 5 million inhabitants, to host such a final showed just how poor this decision was. Omanis are not even into their domestic league, leave alone a major continental level final.

Football is the new religion of Europe and the opium of Europeans the new Roman circus ..it very popular in Europe and Turkey but still not in Arabia despite all efforts of Arab dictators..Omanis will fill this stadium 2 or 3 times per years only to see their national team playing and for free not paying a single Riyal ....but they will never fill it and pay tickets to see 22 foreign men playing with a plastic ball for an hour and a half 😂😂

Australia is strange: 1. Not an Asian nation and only joined the AFC for competitive purposes. 2. Football isn't the biggest sport. 3. Disliked by most Asian countries except Japan and South Korea due to their European heritage. 4. Still not winning any youth competitions in Asia. 5. Ended up becoming the first and only AFC member to have won both the AFC Champions League (ACL) and AFC Asian Cup at the same time. 6. Advanced past the group stages of the FIFA World Cup after surviving a tense playoff (initially dismissed as outsider). 7. The first AFC nation to win the AFC Cup and ACL in the history, complete the collection.

If Asian nations didn't want Australia why did they accept them back in 2005? It is going to be 20 years since that happen and they still cry about it and the nations that cry the most are countries whose football leagues and competitions suck. Specially Bangladeshis, Indonesians, Indians, Pakistanis that are the ones that can shut their mouth and have to claim some magical South American ancestry to feel they have won something or else look at the celebrations they had when Argentina won the world cup. Bigger than even the actual Argentinians.

Hilarious how AFC decided to grant two Australian teams in the second-tier AFC Cup with the thoughts that they would provide only entertainment, only for this to end up making Australia the first ever nation in Asia to win both the Asian Champions League and AFC Cup in the history. AFC should question this decision twice.

No Not for entertainment If you look at results of Australian teams in AFC Champions League from last ten years, they aren't really competitive Only Western Sydney Wanderers managed to win in 2014. Rest of them struggle to even get to knock out stage.
