The Super Eagles' victory reminds me of the 1994 semi-finals where we won on penalties it has a lot of significance heading into the final. I'm impressed with the individual and collective performance of the team.

RUFAI: SUSTAINABILITY? FRAME 29:50 "...The SOLUTION to Nigeria is very simple ... "For as long as we don't get into our head that NIGERIA IS ONE, we cannot be consistent." --Sunday Oliseh See how saddened 😭 Mr. Sunday Oliseh is, making that closing remark? He invariably nailed the coffin shut that it is easier for a camel 🐪 to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. At any rate, we still thank God for soccer ⚽ which made "Nigerians" smile yesterday, and hopefully they will smile again on Sunday.

Some years ago, Nigeria airways was called Flying Elephant. It turned out to be the most incompetent airline ever which collapsed with mountains of debts including unpaid salaries and pensions. Now, Nigeria's soccer team is called Super Eagles. There are numerous other flamboyant names like that all over the place where a simple name would have sufficed. I wonder who creates these names and why the soccer team cannot be simply called Nigeria. Must it always sound overblown?

Oliseh has now admitted that he's Delta Igbo even if it's with a note of sarcasm, "they call us Delta Igbo". Well, whether you are Hausa or Yoruba Igbo, you are still Igbo. It's more of a biological issue than a political one. You can't change the identity of your ancestors through politics or religion. But you can also decide to be Pan-Nigerian without sounding like there's a problem between you and any other ethnic group. That you are beginning to realise that is a plus for you. You can claim to be a detribalized Nigerian and still love and respect your ethnic group.

What is expected of Super eagles in the final against Ivory coast? Take the ball into their 18 yard box and score. The number of goals is directly proportional to number of times you enter into 18 yard box. Super eagles must liquidate their defense at all cost and take the ball into the 18 yard box to score as many goals as possible. There will be no joke. The goals is the objective. Team work please. No selfishness
