I totally heard a difference, but why I was looking, is my same setup,..”PSC” to the left, and of count was put in, with the stitch airbox, I ordered “airaid” cold air intake, and didn’t think to see if it would fit, the “upgrade setup” , lesson learned, when adding mode, always ask,”will it fit with the upgrades I already have”,.. so needless to say, after I built it up the way they have you do,.. scoop from old airbox, cut 3” and attach to need airbox.. So seeing your video when I went to open up KZbin, I saw your setup under the heading, and at first I’m like,..wait what, he has my exact setup, this one has to fit.. My question, are the hose that come from the PSC pump, facing toward the airbox?, or is any part of the bottom hitting the hoses?, thanks for the video my Brutha gives me confidence going to sleep, has my luceil is sleeping with no f***** airbox attached and she ain’t digging it🥴😩😡 So again I glad I took a look and saw your post🙏🏿👊🏿✌🏿❤️

Everything is a bit tight, the housing shroud for the AFE filter is pressed right up against the pac fluid reservoir. I have the lines directed right at the pump. If you hit me up on IG, I will gladly snap some photos of it for you 👍🏻

Do you think that a snorkel would be better for direct air than a CAI in the engine bay? Been debating for awhile what I want to do with my intake on my JL. I did replace the stock filter with a aFe dry filter. Awesome video!

Jonathan Wallace well, any intake with the inlet inside the engine bay isn’t really a “cold air intake”. Calling this type of intake a CAI is really a misnomer. A snorkel system or some other type of intake where the inlet is outside of the engine bay and draws in cooler atmospheric air is the only type of true cold air intake.

Kramer Junction my issue is that I want to run my cowl aux lights and if the tube for the snorkel is on the outside it more than likely will mess with it, and if I do the new rugged ridge snorkel then the passenger side cowl is replaced with their piece of plastic and un-mountable.

how did you get the factory airbox to fit with the psc resivour?

Lots of shoving to be honest. It really doesn’t want to fit, but you can make it work. Push the reservoir over as far as you can and your air box might be a little out of place, but it works. Even with my AFE intake, it’s still pretty tight

How much hp did you gain

AFE states that based on their dyno tests there is some minimal HP gain. I didn’t dyno my jeep before or after so I couldn’t tell you 🤷‍♂️ does feel like the Jeep has a little bit more pep when I hit the gas though 👍🏻

haha i feel like that is the age old debate with aftermarket intakes...maybe, maybe not. My thinking has always been that automotive manufacturers are already under immense scrutiny to meet emissions regulations, so if there is some way to get better economy then the engineers have probably done it
