Not to be vain but I'm a pretty girl in a sorority and I get stood up too. I even go on dates and have guys (who I think have shitty personalities) tell me they don't like me even on the date. It happens to everyone. I've turned down guys who are attractive because I've been fresh from a breakup. Looking good isn't enough to hold a date's attention

OMG, I had a very similar experience. I live near Chicago and I had a connection with a guy from Charlotte, NC. So after months of talking I agreed to fly out to see him and he would pick me up at the airport. When I got there, I looked and waited for hours. Finally, I just got a rental car and got a room. I was so let down and sad, but I decided while I was there I was just going to make a vacation for myself and just enjoyed my time anyway. It was bad at first and hurtful but I made the best of it anyway. SO yeah, getting stood up sucks, especially when you spend a lot of money to have it happen.

My guess is he was struggling with his sexuality. One week he's gay. The next week he's denying to himself that he's gay. The next week he's got a date with a girl to prove to himsellf that he's not gay.
