Great video Adam, thanks for sharing your affiliate marketing tips! I'd love to hear more about the correct way to incorporate affiliate disclaimers on blog posts. Obviously you need to be transparent and legal, but there is also the risk that you can come across as money-grabbing if you have disclaimers all over your web pages, so I'd be interested in how you recommend doing this, so that we stay compliant but don't put people off.

I am super curious on your thoughts. If people starting going to AI for answers to search queries, it would potentially lessen the need to go to websites because AI gives more comprehensive answers. How do you see this effecting affiliate marketing?

AI is still not accurate. I imagine this will change as time goes on, but I see people my age still Googling for "best XYZ" whereas the younger genreation will search differently

Also, I think people will still prefer humans. Think about trying to contact a business customer service and you get a "bot" - nobody likes this. People prefer human connection.

These snippets usually only feature brief and concise information to a specific question. To influence buying decisions, you need content and information that goes way beyond what could be covered in a short snippet. That is where a blog post comes into play.

That is an intriguing thought indeed! I think when it comes to making a purchase decision, people will rather still rely on people than on AI. We want real human experiences provided to know whether a product is good or not. Furthermore Google won't lay down without a fight to remain the number 1 search engine in the world

Most affiliate programs pay via PayPal so if you can get a PayPal account that will be helpful.

Some affiliate programs will ask for a W9 because you're technically an independent contractor. But you can just be a sole proprietorship and just provide your SSN. Or you can form an LLC and provide your EIN. Any earnings over $600 per company will need to be taxed so make sure to keep track of your overall revenue. The only real things you need are a PayPal account to start, then you can eventually get a business bank account and QuickBooks when you're ready.

There will come changes in the next 12 -18 months, on how search results will be displayed. I just tried Bing AI search with a pre-given test prompt “best vacuum cleaner for dog hairs.” It spelled out a list with technical data and prices. Luckily, it gives source reference and link to the 3 Web pages (blogs) from which it pulled the information. For the future, page one will not be that issue, as there might be is no page one anymore. But the most qualified content to make it to the 3 or 5 top sources the AI is pulling its Information. Blogs with quality content will not disappear as the AI need a data source and matching content. Quality, quality and quality again will it be. I am looking forward to Googles August update, what most likely will drop a lot of low-quality content in the drain.
