This was way more than helpful! You are absolutely right Mark - these are definitely neglected tools. Out of all of the YT turorials that I have found over the past several months, I have never seen any of them go over the Erase brush and the Background erase brush the way that you did just now. Omg!!!!! This is EXACTLY what I need, and have been searching for, for the last week! I’m new to Affinity Photo, and need to remove the background of a scanned painting of mine, of scattered flowers. - The balloons here are just like my scattered flowers! - Many of them, scattered. I’ve spent all week trying to find Affinity Photo’s version of how a lady in a course I’m currently doing, got rid of her background in Photoshop. I’ve seen all types of tools from near the top of the Tools, and everything I’ve seen deletes the foreground. And they’re way, way too detailed and complicated. - The way the teacher did it was just click, click, click, click, done!!!………. And this is what you do here, and you get the transparent background!!!!! I’m amazed….. Thankyou so much! 🙏🏻 You have no idea how relieved I am!

Thank you for explaining a tool I have never really considered/seem much point of using . Naturally , by duplicating the layer removes to problem of being a destructive tool/work flow
