You could also use the gradient tool to create the color in the reflection instead of the brush

Cool tricks. You can apply the stroke options to the text without converting it to curves first so the text is editable and has a dotted outline.

Once again, I very much enjoyed watching your video, Olivio. Also, nice and speedy. There are occasions where slow is very good, particularly for newbies, however, this was just the right pace for me. I started out trying to research how to do curved text for a friend, who despite having Affinity Photo, still does his text in Photoshop Elements, because it is familiar and he knows how to do it. I have now watched your text tricks 1 & 2 plus this and also another of yours on KZbin, Olivio. Despite all this, I have not yet learned how to do curved text. My friend uses it for Christmas cards. So, if at any stage, you can incorporate how to do this in a future video, we will be most appreciative, indeed. It did seem that I was close to finding out, because of the 'Frame Text Tool', however, for whatever reason, I have not been able to master any technique which produces the results.

Hi Jim, Affinity Photo doesn't have a function for curved text BUT you can do it in Affinity Designer and then import or copy it over to Affinity Photo :)

Hi Zachery, make sure you are in the right "persona" and click on the icons to see if it's hidden in a popup menu. They certainly didn't remove the text tool. It's there :)
