you can create an artboard in AD, save it and reopen it in AP, in AP you add it to your assets, no PDF etc needed

Yes. I know it can be done that way, but your suggestion requires people to buy additional software. My tutorial shows how it can be achieved for free, without having to buy additional software.

Why not just create your Art Boardsin Affinity Designer ? You have access to nearly all the AP tools there

You can create an artboard in Affinity Designer, but not in Affinity Photo. This tutorial is for Affinity Photo.
