Blend Modes (Affinity Designer)

Although seeing the effect instantly as you drag over each blend is great and quick, it would be better I think to have the ability to see the original at the same time to compare as you scroll through each blend mode. For example if one half of the image or selection either vertically or horizontally remained unchanged as you scroll you could see the effect as it compares to the original. Then once you decide the mode you want the entire selection changes.

Can you just tell us the equations? Sometimes this can tell us more than any specific example

Why not finally give the mathematical formulas instead of just the purpose? This would finally take the guess work out of it.
