The only thing that sucks is if you get the stage 1 kits in the Hellcats you can not use the Caralock because it uses the OBD2 port.

You can you the hardwire kit to install the CarLock device elsewhere or use the OBD splitter cable.

Not true they sell OBD2 port adapters. It's a cable that connects and gives you extra ports.

In my experience of almost a year, the 2.0 tag does not work well at all. There are multiple issues with this device. It has a high failure rate of not disarming until after several annoying alarms go off. When it does disarm it usually arms back up while driving causing obnoxious distractions. You will have issues if you often sit in car (running or not) with it arming and disarming several times and all while tag is present with you. I have also had issues with it not arming after parking and walking away from the vehicle. I tried 3 different tags and two main units (OBD port type), all with same results. I highly suggest just using the phone or smartwatch app if you want consistency and reliability. Carlock support is useless on these issues. Its a shame that a business can continue to get away with selling a product that does not work for so long.

(I don't think you actually showed touching the "button" on the screen to arm and disarm the system whether you're by the car or somewhere else, green for disarmed, red for armed). 😊 My '22 Scat Pack had a a LoJack system, as well which was expensive and completely redundant after adding the Car Lock. You can still have both but just be aware there is an alternative that saves you $$ and you're in control of finding your car (in conjunction with the cops) and not completely at the mercy of LoJack + cops. I caught a dealership tech driving my car like an idiot, because I had a Car Lock installed... It's also a data logger that tracks real-time motion, speed and duration. Needless to say, we don't have to worry about him anymore. 😊 The "driver's report" is a good feature, too. It sends weekly reports or anytime you check, advises you of the driving score/habits. Great for teens!😊 *WARNING...* The new Mopars with a U-connect screen *DO NOT* like to have the *Car Lock or Tazer* dongle (that's what it's called, a "dongle") plugged directly into the OBD2 port. It will short a couple of pins that, after a short period of time, can cause the display to go black. Not dead, it will still show basic functions like adjusting fan speed, "shutting down" graphics, etc. but, it won't show the radio or GPS or real time displays. It *will* scare you and drive you nuts until you remove the dongle. *THE SOLUTION* is to buy the OBD2 splitter/duplicator (best to get the "duplicator" style, not just the "extension" style which has to be unplugged for service 😉) which plugs into the OBD2 port. The thin cable attached with another port that accepts the Car Lock dongle and tucks up under your dash, etc. so it's not readily obvious to a thief looking for one, nor will it interfere with a tech performing service. 😊 I also have a hard wire kit for the unit in my classic Road Runner which doesn't have an OBD2 port. You can use these systems in classic cars, too. 😊 This is also why the Tazer people offer a rear duplicator for the battery compartment, so the Tazer is "removed" (relocated) from the equation/problem, too. So, let my frightening experience and trip to the dealership guide you and get the splitter cable. 😊 As form cloning key fobs, just get a removable item like a paper/card that fits between the dash and your VIN tag so people can't see the numbers unless you want them to... Cloning stopped!! 😀 I think 1320 sells something for that.

Hey what if someone try to knock your side mirrors off or steal them will the alarm go off. My driver side mirror got knocked off and my passenger side mirror got stolen.

Yes it will go off. The vibration sensors will pick that up

Thanks for the informative video bro. I just upgraded to a widebody scat pack challenger and the first thing I have been looking into is security measures; especially since my last challenger got broken into. Now I do have a question, I how good are the motion sensors, are they a good substitute to a glass break sensor (which I would have to upgrade the stock alarm in order to even install it)? I'm considering buying several to place throughout the vehicle.
