A few years ago I was in Greece trying on a pair of Deisel jeans & the manager of the store gave me the best advice on sizing....he said that if you can do them up yourself when you are trying them on, then they’re too big. Thought he was crazy at first but in the end he was right. I had a closet full of jeans that were too big in the waist that I didn’t wear & since then every pair of jeans that I’ve bought fit perfectly esp after wearing them 2-3 times. I always had the same issue w the waist as you Naomi. Great video!

@@carpediem6688 So to explain it best, what the manager meant was that if the pants are loose enough that you can button & zip them easily, then after the jeans are worn a few times, they’ll be to big after the fabric has stretched. I’ve used his advice since somewhat (without asking anyone in the store to help me lol) by making sure that when I try jeans on, they fit snuggly & this ensures that they mould perfectly to my waist & hips after a couple of wears. Sorry, I guess I didn’t explain properly!

I'm a short woman as well Like 5'1 and I find these new styles very difficult to wear as well. The only style I'm loving are the flares, wide leg and boot cut. I fell like those are universally flattering and for us short girls they seem to work better. Mom jeans are too tough to wear for most body types I think. I love the Flares on you too that was my favorite pair!

the extra fabric in the front of the zara jeans are actually due to the shape of the "U" shaped seam (seen from the side, the same seam that has the zipper) that connects the 2 leg parts, if that makes sense. A wider "U" means more fabric and a narrow shape means less fabric and can instead make the crotch feel to tight

I got 4 Zara jeans previously and returned them because of the crotch area!!! I didn’t understand that! Theyre really stiff too. Maybe they’re not cut for petite but I like the wide leg one out tried one. I might go back and try those.

That was a great honest review! I guess I’ll have to try out Abercrombie...who knew! I was surprised every time you said the length was too short on you and you would of added more length because I thought you used to like when it hit right at the ankle and I also thought it looked great slightly shorter!

I have the gathering issue as well. Ive herd alot of cheaper jeans or short zipper get more gathering. the pants with longer zippers the go all the way down structure that area more.

Love your highlights. Plz share... As for the crotch issue with those mom jeans. It's so women who ACTUALLY HAVE A POOCH can have room for it... When jeans are too long they are designed to fit variable heights. Easier to cut jeans length then lengthen. Ps. You look GREAT IN midrise. Cuz your torso is short.high waist actually looks like your midsection is so long. High rise is good for tall people mid for short without heels.

Those Zara slit jeans would even look great on you at ankle jeans distressed at ankle. I bought the mom jeans and the only ones that looked good were the black ones. I am going to try the straights like you had bc the first pair looked great.

I am thinking maybe they are more for average to tall frames, not for petites like us :) Would love a video on summer slouchy pants/chinos, paper-bag pants, wide leg summery pants in general. hi! I am having the hardest time with finding the right fit. can you help me? my exact waist measurement is 25.5". according to the levi's size chart, this would put me at size 24. I have ribcages in size 24 and they fit nicely in butt and thighs. at the waist, they do not gap when I am standing up right. however, when I bend down, there is a huge waist gap. Is this normal? could it have to do with how high the rise is or should I size down to 23?
