I use the Logitech 1080HD pro stream camera from Wal-Mart (Also available at Amazon) with my XTool D1. This video shows some of the things to consider when mounting your camera.

Thank you for sharing. I had no idea I could even add a camera to my laser! This is awesome. It would really have helped with my last job. I'll probably purchase the lightning 4k camera to avoid lightburn conflicts but I'll try my old 4k action camera first as it's just lying around and can be used as a computer camera. Fingers crossed! Thank you for the guidance.

I have lots of other videos and tips for laser engraving. My latest camera is an 8mp camera from Amazon and it works great. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2fMfKNqlLmgd68

@@TheClackShack I've been working my way through your videos. I fell for the price of the neje brand (neje 3 max) but your lightburn guides are invaluable!.

@@TheClackShack I like it but I have the one that was released 2 years ago. The current version is much much better than the original.

I purchased this camera and my enclosure is to low for the camera to be of any use. I was forced to purchase a 150 degree camera that would work with the enclosure.

Yea, you need 20 inches or so for flat lens. I am using fisheye cameras for my newer builds

Why do you make things look easy? I’m trying to configure my camera to my xTool and 50 million things are going wrong. From having the gantry try to bust through one side to the laser head grind the gears to go beyond the specs of the engraver. My camera mount is PVC pipe. I can’t afford the nicer stuff. I’m using the alignment wizard and have no idea what the settings are. I mostly use inches and not millimeters. Fill speed was set to 114 and that’s when the gantry tried to bust through one side. The scale is another thing. I had no idea what it was until I adjusted it. Every time I click run the cut, the laser head runs into one side or another and never fires the beam.

Sounds like your laser is not at home on start or your workspace size is not correct. Take some time to do some more research and maybe you can avoid the frustration. My first camera was mounted on the bottom of a shelf. I have other videos if you search "camera" on my videos. Good luck..

Excellent video, however, your intro sound is really loud, your audio should math the level of the intro. Just a suggestion.

Was your optimal height based on the viewing angle of the camera?
@TheClackShack
@TheClackShack 2 жыл бұрын
There is probably a more scientific way to figure it involving math but I held the camera over the work area and figured where I could get the closest to the bed but still have good focus and the entire work area in the image.

Yes, I recommend still framing to be sure but it is very helpful for previewing the design on an image. You can also capture with the camera and trace the design.

@@tiffannystipe9626 , importing still has its place. I have used the capture function and it works well as long as the graphic is clear and defined.
