Thank you for your interest. Jacana is creating a supply chain for these pumps (see self-supply.com) as we speak. For now (Nov 2024) we are in pilot phase and the pumps can be bought in eastern province of Zambia for ZMW 4500. It might be a bit expensive to just ship one pump to South Africa at this moment, but if you need more, let us know via the contact form at jacana.help/about

Can this pump be used in a well ?

Sure as long as water is not deeper than 10m a single pump can do the job. If water is between 10 and 20 meters, I suggest to add another pump to it. Deeper than 20m it is better to get another type of pump.

Currently the pump is produced at 3 locations in Eastern Zambia (Chipata, Lundazi and Petauke) by entrepereneurs trained by Jacana. You can contact Jacana via the chat box at jacana.help (left bottom of page) and tell us your location so we can connect you with the right producer. They can also send pumps to you.

What is the name of the pump and size please.

It is a 100 Watt pump, comes with 160W of panels, has a maximum flow of 30L/min and can pump to 15m (although for a beter flow, we suggest 10m or less) called "Portable Solar pump" see: www.portablesolarpump.com
